The Beach House Resort

A moderate hotel with just the amenities you need and a fun front facing pool bar so you can drink, chill and people watch on the promenade. I only wish the walls were a bit thicker because the party crowd could wake you 😂. Also wish there were a few more beach loungers at the beach area

Its just on the same street of shopping area and restaurants. Good location and all the staffs are friendly. Readily to help you on anything. Bad experience is that the villa we stayed has cockroaches. The electricity keeps on tripping leaving us in the dark. The food has limited choises but the quality is not bad. The facilities a bit rundown as there are many amenities were rusty. The beach in front of the hotel is not save to swim as there are many boats anchoring. Overall not bad to stay.

We didn’t stay here but popped in for a nightcap to enjoy the live singer. Cocktails were amazing and staff were very sweet. Lovely bar!

Generally I thought the stay was excellent. The front of house looks out onto the standby beach and sea (albeit all the hotels in that area have the main road in between them and the sand) and has a small pool and pool bar. The staff are extremely helpful and we thought made the experience so much better. For example we wanted to try and rent some bicycles from a reputable merchant and they sorted it for us in literally about 2-3 minutes (the bicycles were delivered to the front of the hotel in less than 5 minutes). We also wanted to use a sun lounger on the beach and they moved them for us before we could even ask if it was possible. They were so helpful and lovely. We made use of the spa which was good; certainly the best massage I had whilst on holiday. The bedrooms are fairly basic, but there's everything you need (you don't go to Gili T to spend all day in the hotel room!). The main issue, covered in other reviews, is the noise in the evening and early morning. There's not much the hotel can do to be fair; however, there is often thumping bass playing nearby until about 1am (that alone didn't stop me from nodding off!) and then people using the central courtyard pool from early doors. All are clearly audible in the room, so the hotel provides complementary earplugs! We had one lunch at the hotel and I thought the food was good quality (we just had pizza and chips - not very adventurous but was good!). I felt the breakfast could be improved. Service was, as ever, great but there was a list of options which felt quite restrictive. My partner asked for poached eggs on toast (not on the menu) and they were happy to do that. I asked for the noodles which were under the vegetarian section yet unfortunately they brought them out with chicken stirred in. I probably should have clarified when I ordered, but then it shouldn't really be in the vegetarian part of the menu! These are fairly minor complaints in what was an otherwise lovely stay and I would certainly recommend to others visiting Gili Trawangan.
