It has an altitude of 765 m, and is a part of the Iruelas Valley Reservation, an area that has been declared ZEPA (Area of Special Protection for Birds, according to its acronym in Spanish) because this is where you will find the biggest colony of black vultures of Castilla and Leon. It has a lush and varied vegetation with oaks, chestnuts, junipers, holm oaks, black poplars, ash trees, fruit trees, yews, birches and several species of pines covering its surface.In this natural area, the town of Navaluenga represents an important tourist centre approximately one hour away from Madrid.
