River Terrace Cabin #4 is a cute, cozy cabin nestled under shade trees, sitting above what Southern Living named “One of The Best Swimming Holes in Texas”. Conveniently located upriver, just 1 mile, from Garner State Park.Towering shade trees provides a shady area to barbecue, enjoy a campfire, pitch horseshoes, or just relax and connect with the outdoors. This cabin is located on the best stretch of the Frio River for tubing. The deep “lake area” is 14- 18 feet deep year around. Take a stroll to the river to watch the fireflies come out in the evenings or star gaze from your porch! (We are night sky friendly!)The common area has a volleyball net, chalk board and Connect 4 game. There are 4 cabins and a house on this property, all with their own private outdoor/porch area. Cabin #3 and Cabin #4 only share a roof.This cabin sleeps a maximum of 6 guestsThe nightly rate is based on 2 guests, each additional guest is $15 per night.Cabin layout:1 bedroom and 1 bathroom (walk in shower)Bedroom #1/ 1 queen and 2 twinsLiving Room/ 1 queen bed (comfortable, not a fold out)Small picnic table inside for diningStrong Wifi & Smart TV, AC and heat.The little galley kitchen is furnished with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, Utensils, BBQ tools, drip coffeepot, (I provide the filters) toaster, microwave, toaster, small stove and a refrigerator. There is a septic system so ONLY toilet tissue can be flushed.Pets are welcome. The fee is $20 per day, per pet. Please review our pet policy. VRBO only has the option to charge for one pet. Original Cabin #4 sits by century old pecan trees that provide a shady area to barbecue, enjoy a campfire, play volleyball, pitch horseshoes or just relax and observe wildlife. The tapered riverbank makes this location great for young kids. There are shallow river areas, perfect for smaller children, and deep swimming holes for fishing and swimming. Set your camp chair seat-deep in the Frio while enjoying your favorite beverage and hanging out with your crew or grab your tube and float down to our River Terrace property (about 45 min float from this location) and hang out in the deep swimming hole. Take a walk on our primitive nature trails where abundant wildlife can be seen. There are 6 cabins at this location, all perfectly spaced apart, so that each cabin has its own private outdoor area and are just a 3-4 minute walk to the waterfront.Each cabin has a private outdoor area with:-picnic table-charcoal BBQ pit-campfire ring-front porch-outdoor string lights The property has a community area nestled in a pecan grove with:-volleyball net-horseshoe pits-additional picnic tablesPricing is for 4 guests.
