Very nice hotel. Its location is very central, in the back of ”the *****”. Loads of Dutch people here! The pool is nice, they even have a swim-up bar. I had some fish in the local restaurant next to the pool, which was amazing. The AC was working well, there was warm water (not hot). Room cleaned daily, the bed was very comfortable. Definitely recommend it!
Our stay at this hotel started off on a great note - a big thank you to Saffie at reception who upgraded us to a room with a private pool and ocean views. It really felt like the best room in the property, right on the beach and just steps away from the restaurant area. What stood out most to me was the hotel’s African design and atmosphere: the canals running through the grounds, the lush tropical vegetation, and the unique mangrove crossing right in the middle of the property. The hotel has a great location on a beach lined with coconut trees and just 10-15 minutes walk from the busy Senegambia *****.
The room itself was very spacious and comfortable, and spotlessly clean like the hotel premises overall.
The staff are definitely one of the hotel’s biggest assets. From the restaurant team to housekeeping and security, everyone was polite and went out of their way to meet guests’ needs. I’d like to mention individual names, but the list would be too long - so I’ll just say thank you to all of them. They were especially kind and attentive when my mother came down with the flu during our stay, asking regularly to see how she was doing.
The night shows organized by the hotel were also great. The highlight was the cultural performance, which featured the traditional Mamapara costume - a unique and memorable experience. On the other evenings, the singers gave it their all, performing with the kind of energy you’d expect on the biggest stages in the world.
Another highlight is the adults‑only policy, which made the whole experience quieter.
If I had to point out areas for improvement, I’d say some parts of the property could use a bit of renovation, for example the reception is a bit austere compared to other properties I've passed by in the Serrekunda area. The sunbeds could also be replaced and some of the beach umbrellas were broken. The WiFi signal was weak at times, occasionally dropping out.
La ubicación está en medio de la nada, hay algun puesto para comprar agua peor poco más, las instalaciones según ellos al ser temporada baja, fuimos a finales de junio no estaban preparadas.
Beautiful hotel. Only a 10 minute walk to restaurants and night life. Across the road from a monkey sanctuary & conference centre. Bar was nice. Breakfast was simple (English breakfast) though it was a bit small for the price paid.
