We were looking for an experience in a rural village away from the usual tourist tracks, and this was the perfect place for it. The host was incredibly welcoming and generous with his time. He shared a lot about Miao culture and traditions, and took us around the village to show us where he grew up and where he and his family live. He kindly helped us with transportation to the station, and his brother prepared a delicious dinner made from locally grown ingredients. The accommodation itself is comfortable, clean, and has attention to details. Surrounded by the beautiful nature of hills and fields, it felt both peaceful and authentic. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this wonderful place!

Upon arrival at Kailinan Station, the PIC of Leili sent someone to pick us up. She even recommended us places to go and to dine in Kaili during the short drive. To our surprise, all the staff of Leili are female! Wow, it was all girls power and we were so impressed of how well they have managed the homestay! The homestay is artistically designed and decorated, the ambience is so cozy, the rooms are so new and clean. Not forgetting, the staff are so enthusiastic and kind to share us some information about Kaili. The homestay even provided us with welcome afternoon tea sets which serves their local tea and midnight dessert (green bean soup). We just feel so home staying in Leili. =)

Our stay was not so bad. Just some little details to get better about the room status (see pics below: a hole on the curtains, a door knock and the sides of the television). Hotel perfect just for business people. Information through the hospitality and concierge must be improved. Especially for foreign visitors and no Chinese people. They told us that the Ethnic Museum of Kaili was open. We took a taxi and when we arrived the museum was closed. If we have to rate it from 1 to 10, this hotel is 8/10. Location was very good. Close by tha main shopping area and all the malls of the city. Walking distance from the downtown.

Fantastic hotel with exceptional service. Mum and I stayed in this accommodation for 3 nights, and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has brand new rooms and facilities, and is clean. The staff are super helpful and courteous. Especially the front desk team. I don’t remember all of them, but team member number 26 was always smiley (they all referred to themselves in numbers, interesting practice). The hotel location is between the city centre and the train station, close to the local art and crafts market (within walking distance). Highly recommended activity is to visit Xia Si old town, where you can experience traditional clothes dying and painting technics that’s special to ethnic communities in Kaili.
