Akademie really lives up to her reputation and fully deserves all the accolades. It is indeed a home away from home, and service is warm, personable and probably the best you can get. Planning to go back again soon. Thank you to the staff for showing us the best of South African hospitality. Can't wait to be back!

Truly one of the warmest stays I’ve ever had. The staff’s kindness, genuine care, and constant support made me feel not just like a guest, but like family. Exceptional hospitality in every detail

Nice Homely place just far enough away from the main town. Good size room with a nice veranda area. Attentive staff and manager to make sure your stay is pleasant. Would recommend this place.

The hotel fully matches the photos. It’s clean, cozy, and each guest has a private entrance. The only downside was that in our room there was no door between the bedroom and the bathroom, which felt a bit unusual. It was also a bit chilly in the room in the evening. The property itself is lovely, with a pleasant area for walking where you can even spot peacocks. A decent pool and a sauna. There is also a nice restaurant on site, where breakfast is served in the morning and you can enjoy a delicious dinner in the evening. The breakfasts are European-style, with especially tasty fish and fresh fruit.

Great place to stay! Stunning views. Washroom was so spacious one could dance in it. Breakfast was yummy with different types of cheese for you to try. Their bakes were good too. Comfortable beds.

Exquisite location with gorgeous views. The room had central heating which was very welcome in winter. Highly recommend the Spa - we treated ourselves to one of the personal journey packages and it was totally worth it.

Was impressed with professionalism, service & friendliness.   Management personal attention commendable.  Parking is a constraint.  Always remember to close lift door so guests not left in lurch.  Keep it up!! Raymond Thurston
