The town has many shops, cefés and restaurants and, during the summer, it's rich in events and festivals. The beaches of Badesi are absolutely breathtaking. Li Mindi is a wide beach with wonderful colours and fine white sand. It stretches for kilometres and it's crossed by the river Coghinas. The dunes of thin sand are covered with junipers and the water has a stunning blue colour. Due to its exposure to the mistral wind, the coast is the ideal destination for windsurfers. The coast has been declared site of Community interest, due to its variety of flora and fauna. The area, characterised by hills and plains, is perfect for fruitful vineyards, from which the famous "Vermentino di Gallura" is obtained. Badesi is also an excellent starting point for those willing to visit the northern part of the island and it's the perfect spot for tourists looking for a stay far from the chaos of the most crowded destinations.
