Mutian Time Designer Guesthouse, Dali | A poetic stay in a century-old Bai courtyard We’ve just returned from Dali, and the place we keep thinking about most is this hidden gem at the foot of Cangshan Mountain — Mutian Time Designer Guesthouse. Oriental aesthetics in every corner The guesthouse is converted from a century-old traditional Bai courtyard house. With its grey-tiled roofs, white walls, and beautifully carved wooden structures, the space carries a quiet sense of history and elegance. The courtyard features water elements, stone paths, and blue and yellow lanterns that create beautiful layers of light and shadow during the day. At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere. The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. 숙소가 정말 깨끗하고 시설도 완벽했어요. 주변 환경도 너무 아름다웠고요. 옥상 테라스에서는 창산의 일출과 일몰을 감상할 수 있었고, 고성 전경도 한눈에 보여 정말 멋졌습니다. 방은 햇살이 잘 들어 따뜻했고, 통창 앞에서 차를 마시며 고성 풍경을 바라보는 것만으로도 행복했어요. 사장님 가족분들이 정말 친절하고 정성이 가득하셔서, 필요한 게 있으면 바로 해결해주셨어요. 실용적인 여행 팁과 맛집도 추천해주셔서 실패 없이 즐거운 여행을 할 수 있었습니다. 숙소에는 '왕차이'라는 이름의 사람을 잘 따르는 강아지와 귀여운 고양이 두 마리가 있었어요. 떠날 때는 저희 짐을 부쳐주시는 등 손님들에게 진심으로 신경 써주시는 모습에 감동했습니다. 앞으로 친구들에게 꼭 추천할 것이고, 다시 오게 된다면 무조건 여기로 올 거예요. 오늘 리장 숙소에서 밤늦게 잠이 오지 않아 지난 숙소와 비교해보니, 그때의 따뜻한 정이 더욱 그리워집니다.

This stay is the best ever. Not only is the guesthouse clean and beautifully located right across from Erhai Lake. But what impressed me most was the hospitality and service—especially from Joy. From picking us up at the train station, to helping us arrange an EV bike rental (even though we eventually decided not to), to personally taking us to dinner and recommending dishes, trusting us with her dog Hamburg, and specially arranging for us to be dropped off at the station when we left even though she was busy with work. Joy made sure everything was well taken care of. She is a true asset to the guesthouse: friendly, sincere in her kind gestures without expecting anything in return, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. What we admire most is that Joy treats her dog as a family member. She is truly a person filled with loving kindness and will always be blessed for this. The part we appreciated most was getting to spend quality time with her dog, Hamburg, who brought us so much happiness and filled our days with joy. Hamburg is a loving dog with a heart of gold. Anyone especially dog lovers would truly fall in love with him. Together, Joy and Hamburg make the best combination. They brought smiles and joy to us. They are the real assets of the place. We hope they will be greatly rewarded. Thank you, Joy, for giving us the best souvenir in China—Hamburg's most loved toy. This is the best gift ever! And thank you for keeping in touch with us whenever you can, including sharing updates on Hamburg. It means a lot to us.😊 Great hospitality was also shown by others on the team. Miki served us breakfast every morning with a smile and was always at the reception keeping Hamburg company. She not only looks after him but also make sure he is in good hands, safe and happily running about. Miki carried Hamburg to bid us farewell. She also updated us on Hamburg's progress daily, which we greatly appreciated. knowing that he is happy made us happy.👍 Most importantly, the owner, Krystina, made us feel at home and welcomed. She has a warm personality, is friendly, and treats her staff like family. She is also in the midst of learning English for self-improvement. She has the willingness to learn and the kind of down-to-earth attitude that most hotel owners don't. We felt comfortable being with her, and she even hosted a farewell dinner for us. What we love most is that she is an animal lover and even included Hamburg in the dinner. She has a heart full of compassion. We had a great time together, and the night ended with smiles and laughter. We started as strangers but ended as friends.🙂 We were reluctant to leave after three nights, and if given the chance, we would love to extend our stay to a week in the future. This place is truly a gem, thanks to the wonderful management and the people behind it. We will surely recommend friends to your guesthouse—it is a gem hidden in Dali. 주변 환경이 조용하고 호텔 문 바로 앞에 공유 자전거가 많이 있어서 빌릴 수 있어요. 하지만 미리 예약하는 것을 추천해요. 저희는 '하이옌 렌터카'에서 빌렸는데, 정말 저렴하고 좋았어요. 왕복 8위안만 내면 호텔까지 차를 가져다주는데, 5분도 안 걸렸어요. 호텔 앞 공유 자전거보다 훨씬 저렴했고요. 아이가 있는 경우엔 아기용 카시트도 무료로 추가해줬어요. 100km나 200km 옵션이 있는데, 저희는 첫날 200km짜리를 빌려서 시저우까지 왕복했는데 정말 좋았어요. 그 이후에는 근처 (다리 고성)에서 단거리 옵션으로 빌렸는데, 저녁 6시 이후에는 반값 할인도 해줬어요. 호텔 바로 옆에는 유명한 창얼 대로가 있어서 정말 편리해요!

🏠 숙소 환경이 매우 깨끗했고, 인테리어는 심플하면서도 편안했습니다. 객실에서는 얼하이 호수가 내려다보여 탁 트인 전망을 즐길 수 있었습니다. 공항에서도 불과 몇 킬로미터 떨어져 있어 매우 편리했습니다. 모든 객실에 더블 침대가 있어 커플 여행객에게 특히 좋았습니다. 숙소 주인분도 매우 친절하고 따뜻하게 맞아주셨습니다! 숨겨진 명소와 근처 맛집도 추천해 주셨습니다. 전반적으로 아주 만족스러운 경험이었습니다!

從雞足山回大理，臨時選擇入住到金梭島。來大理很多次了，第一次登島，這次酒店確是最滿意的一次。房間海景無敵，躺在床上就能看海看朝霞，設施非常智能，衞生也很乾凈。性價比超高！ 海景餐廳的早餐也是小驚喜。

게스트하우스는 아늑한 분위기를 자랑합니다. 아침에는 프런트 데스크의 젊은 바이족 아가씨가 부드럽게 인사하며 ”잘 주무셨어요? 커피 드시겠어요?”라고 묻습니다. 저녁에는 주인이 따뜻하게 차를 마시며 자리를 안내해 줍니다. 멋진 전망에 매료되어, 마치 거대한 액자처럼 270도의 탁 트인 창문으로 업그레이드했습니다. 매일 매 순간 풍경은 변화합니다. 아침에는 창산 산허리를 휘감는 ”옥띠”를, 오후에는 얼하이 호수가 푸른빛에서 옥빛으로 물드는 모습을, 저녁에는 얼하이 호수의 낚시 불빛이 별빛 속에서 잠든 듯한 기분을 선사합니다. 침대에서 이 모든 것을 감상할 수 있다는 것은 도시의 어떤 고층 빌딩에서도 누릴 수 없는 특별한 경험입니다. 얼하이 호수 위에 떠 있는 듯한 게스트하우스의 인피니티 풀과 그 옆에 놓인 하얀 그네는 단순한 장식이 아니라 그림 한 폭의 그림처럼 아름다운 공간입니다. 정원 디자인은 창산과 얼하이 호수의 풍경을 기발하게 차용했습니다. 주인은 과도한 장식 없이 직접 정원을 설계하여 식물들이 자연스럽게 자랄 수 있도록 했습니다. 정원을 돌아볼 때마다 창산의 한 귀퉁이나 얼하이 호수의 모습을 엿볼 수 있습니다. 저녁이 되면 따뜻한 노란색 바닥 조명이 공간을 비추고, 멀리 어선의 별빛과 어우러져 꿈과 현실의 경계를 모호하게 만듭니다. 게스트하우스의 위치는 완벽합니다. 창산과 얼하이의 아름다운 전망을 감상할 수 있는 한적한 곳에 자리 잡고 있으며, 창산의 19개 봉우리 중 열 번째 봉우리를 바로 마주 보고 있습니다. 그야말로 최고의 입지입니다! 훌륭한 아침 식사, 창산과 얼하이의 탁 트인 전망, 사진 찍기 좋은 수영장과 그네도 물론 훌륭하지만, 무엇보다 이곳에 머물게 만드는 것은 따스한 풍경과 그곳 사람들의 따뜻한 환대입니다.

방은 깨끗하고 특유의 냄새가 없습니다. 거기에 머무르면 집에 있는 것 같은 느낌이 듭니다. 주인과 그의 아내가 고객을 배려하는 관대함을 많이 보여줍니다. 화장지, 샴푸, 샤워 젤. 잘 알려진 브랜드에서 구매하고 생수는 무제한으로 사용할 수 있도록 복도에 놓아두었습니다. 사장님께 일회용 페이스타월 2개를 추가해달라고 요청했는데 사장님이 많이 챙겨가셨습니다. 포장된 음식을 보관하고 데울 수 있는 냉장고와 전자레인지가 있습니다. 이런 인심 좋은 사장님은 앞으로 사업이 점점 더 커질 거라고 생각해요. 주차는 문앞에 가능하며, 택시를 이용하는 것도 편리합니다. 바로 옆에 있는 바이 레스토랑도 매우 맛있고 저렴합니다. 그들은 모두 일을 잘하기 위해 헌신적이고 진지한 사람들임을 알 수 있습니다.
