수영장 있는 에일즈베리 베일 디스트릿 호텔

전반적으로 매우 실망스러운 경험. 우리가 기대했던 매너 하우스가 아닙니다. 원래 매너 하우스에는 객실이 있지만 매우 비싼 객실입니다. 우리가이 방을 기대했던 것에 대해 지불 한 것에 대해 우리는 리셉션에서 도보로 10 분 거리에있는 방에 수용되었습니다. 접수 원이 다른 고객을 천천히 다루는 동안 체크인하기 위해 25 분을 기다렸다가 결국 우리 방을 할당했습니다. 우리는 방을 찾기 위해지도를 받았다. 우리는 이것을 나쁜 표시로 가져 가야했습니다. 영원히 지도를 따라 가려고하는 것처럼 보였던 것을 돌아 다니고 난 후에 우리는 결국 우리의 방을 찾았습니다. 우리가 의미가없는 길고 끝없는 복도를 두 배로 되돌리기 전에는요. 우리가 결국 방을 찾기 전에 여러 개의 문과 계단을 오르락 내리락합니다. 욕실은 많이 남아 있지만 방은 깨끗했습니다. 바닥에 물을 뿌린 작은 얕은 싱크대. 샤워 헤드는 내가 rinsing 헤드라고 생각할 것이었고, 수압은 없었습니다. 저녁 식사는 메인 레스토랑이 아니 었습니다. 분명히 메인 레스토랑은 점심과 아침 식사 만 사용됩니다. 우리는 해리의 바에서 봉사했습니다. 메뉴는 매우 제한적이었습니다. 레스토랑이 아닌 바 메뉴에 대해 기대할 수있는 것입니다. 직원이 부족하고 바 뒤에 일하는 1 명과 음식을 제공합니다. 누군가 우리의 주문을 받기 위해 온다는 3 번의 확신에도 불구하고 주문이 취하기 45 분 전에. 시끄러운 20 명의 큰 파티가 방을 지배하고 큰 소리로 외쳤습니다. 모퉁이에있는 테이블은 음식의 품질에 대해 불평하고있었습니다. 우리는 저녁 식사를 전혀 즐기지 않았다. 다음날 아침 아침 식사는 메인 레스토랑에서있었습니다. 괜찮은 커피 나 차가 없습니다. 온수와 티백과 커피 팩이있는 기계는 공정하게 맥도날드에서 더 나은 커피를 마셨습니다. 매우 부정적인 경험. 나는 확실히 다시 거기에 머물지 않을 것이다. 직원에게 불만을 품은 것은 아무 것도 없었습니다. 그들의 반응은 '나는 최선을 다하고 있습니다, 나는 여기서 일합니다'였습니다. 당신이 얻는 서비스에 만족하지 않을 때 듣고 싶은 것이 아닙니다.

We have stayed at this hotel several times, but not for a few years. The interior has been updated nicely with a more welcoming bar/lounge area. The bedroom decor has also been upgraded although the bathroom hasn't and is a little dated but still practical. Excellent shower over the bath. Bed huge and comfortable. We didn't have dinner in the restaurant but did have breakfast both mornings. Good choice of quality fare, both cooked and continental. The customer service here is second to none. I'm an IHG Club member and when checking in, I was thanked for my loyalty and reminded of the services included. Check in was quick and easy, as was check out. Raj was particularly efficient and friendly. Another great stay at Holiday Inn Aylesbury and will definitely return.

I booked a weekend away at Hartwell House to celebrate my partners 75th birthday. I had told the reception on the phone when I booked that it was my partners birthday on the Saturday. What a lovely hotel with amazing staff. It was like going back in time. Wonderful service and a real experience. We arrived early (12 noon ) check in is 3pm. Very warm welcome. On checking in we were told that we had been upgraded, which we were very happy about. We would have been happy just to walk around the magnificent grounds for a couple of hours whilst waiting for our room to be ready. However we were told our room would be ready in about 30 minutes, a very good start. We had a tour around the ground floor of the hotel by a helpful porter, who pointed out some really interesting points in this old building. Then we had a light lunch in one of the lovely lounges. In no time our porter came for us to take us to our room. Room 6. What a fabulous room and upgrade. It had a massive four poster bed and so much room to walk around. The only gripe I had with the room was the size of the bathroom and the shower is over the bath and not that powerful. At home I am used to a power shower. However my partner was delighted with the bath and as the weekend was about her, I didn't moan about such a trivial thing. The grounds are amazing, we went for a long walk and when we came back the fire in the lounge was most welcoming. We had afternoon tea there and then went up to get ready for dinner. We went into the dining room at 7.30pm and were quite surprised as there were only about 8 other people in room. However by 8.15pm the place had started getting busier. A lovely touch is the complimentary canapes served before our dinner. The food was delicious. Served with real panache. One thing that could be improved is the choice of vegetables served. it was not a great selection. We met a really nice couple inn the restaurant who had come down from Liverpool to celebrate both of their birthdays as well. After dinner we went into one of the lounges and had a drink with them and spent an hour chatting in front of a roaring fire. Breakfast the next morning was delightful with a good choice. After which we went for another walk to explore the amazing 90 acres of parkland. After lunch we went to the spa and chilled there until 5.30pm. That evening we went into dinner and it was nice and buzzy. Two of the waiters came up to my partner to wish her a happy birthday, a very nice touch. Again the food was excellent as was the service. If you feel you want to be spoilt with some old fashioned service I can highly recommend Hartwell House.
