We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for 2 nights. Very welcoming staff when we arrived. You have to pay for parking on a machine inside the hotel and the receptionist gave us a discount code to use! On arrival at our room we found thenTV didn’t work. We called reception and Nicky came up very quick to help. She couldn’t fix it so returned to reception organized another room for us and also gave us a complimentary drink voucher to use during our stay! First class customer service !! All the staff were very friendly and helpful!! We had a nice 2 night stay and the breakfast was plentiful!! Would definitely recommend staying here and it’s only a short walk into town

We arrived to find that of our 3 rooms booked and paid for only 2 were available and the other had been sold to another. They made up an disused room for us to replace this sold room. However instead of the ”deluxe room” booked we had a room used for the homeless by the council which was confirmed by the staff. The facilities are very basic and some dont work. Some rooms are better than others. We had 3 rooms. Our bathroom light was intermittent, the bathroom handle was hanging off. The paint is peeling in all rooms. My daughters room was awful and we did not use it. Her bedroom window did not close even at the end of October when cold; The light on the stairway (with no windows) did not work, so the stairs were total darkness; The shower did not work and was hanging off the wall with bare wires; The tv was missing, The carpet was totally disgusting and was covered in so many stains that you didn't want to take your shoes off; Basic kitchen facilities are missing eg no bowls (had to use a lunch box to eat our cereal), other guests are loud and disrepectful... Hairs in the sink and shower; Skid marks in the toilet; Sheets are un-ironed (but a minor point considering); Communal kitchens are a disgrace and not fit for use, microwave disgusting, grease everywhere. No natural light in our room as the blind would not go up, however in another room there was no blind at all, so the light came in the room very early. We only wanted somewhere comfortable to sleep, the location was not so important, however if this is important you need to know this is on a forecourt of a petrol station. The firedoor which said to keep closed, was propped open with the fire extinguisher, which not only meant the door was not closed but there was also a blockage in the doorway. I hate having to leave a negative review but this property just isn't up to the basic standards. The only positives the bed was reasonably comfortable and the room temperature was fine in the rooms where the window closed. Wifi was OK.

Booked through a business account, staff at check wasn’t good. Talked over me when asking basic questions, didn’t tell me anything about the restaurant times or breakfast which was pre paid. Had to ask him to check the notes a few times before he listened, still wasn’t helpful after. Booked a double bed but got a room with to singles ( on a one person booking ) room was noisy as it had an a joining door so I could hear the tv in the other room all night.

Visited Belton Woods Golf and Spa hotel with a mate for a Sunday stay with two rounds of golf, evening meal and breakfast. Extremely good value. Played both courses, the Woods and the Lakes. Given the rain that we’d had during September both courses held up well. Some mud on the ball, but not excessive. Greens were in good condition. The hotel certainly pack the golfers in on the courses. We were 4.55 hours for a two ball on Sunday afternoon! Monday morning so much better, we were first off and got round in 3.5 hours. Club were great in moving our 2 ball from 11.32 to 8.15 and we even got off before 8.15! Only slight complaint was having attempted to get an earlier tee time for Monday and being told no when initially booking or stay, then why were the club able to give us the time on the day?! Room was very good, double bed each, mini bar with complimentary drinks was fantastic, beer and wine! Evening meal ok, service good, beer expensive, but expected from previous trips of this kind at similar resorts. Breakfast very good too. Overall an excellent stay with only blot being slow round on Sunday and inflexible response to tee time requests.

Charlie and the staff of the Ashbourne Hotel couldn't have been more helpful when we arrived to set up for our latest Murder Mystery event. We tour the UK and it is massively appreciated when the venue are so accommodating and helpful in their setting up of the function room exactly as we require it, and with the Green Room (the actors changing room!) The food was delicious and a waitress even ensured that one of our actors was fed his sticky toffee pudding in the Green Room as he died before desert! Many thanks for assisting in the smooth running of our murder mystery :)

Stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Norfolk. We had the Attic Executive room, which was a bit of a climb but worth it for the peace and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and excellent pillows, which we have issues with in most other places. Breakfast is excellent all round with good choices. very well ciiked and tasty, we also had an evening meal which again was excellent, steak was amazing.

막내 딸의 졸업을 위한 2박. 호텔은 졸업식이 열리는 성과 대성당에 이상적으로 위치해 있습니다. 우리는 어느 날 저녁 사랑스러운 음료와 간식을 먹었습니다. 바에서 선택할 수있는 많은 음료. 호텔은 사랑스럽고 매우 기발하고 구식입니다. 방은 충분한 수납 공간, 사랑스러운 실내 욕실로 넓습니다 (아침에 물이 졸졸 흐르지만 아마도 호텔의 모든 사람들이 동시에 샤워를하기 때문일 것입니다!) 방에 3 개의 팬이있었습니다 (타워 2 개와 책상 1 개) 여름의 한창에 필요할 뿐만 아니라 열리는 큰 창틀도 필요합니다. 매우 편안한 침대, 차/커피 메이커, 수제 쿠키!! 확실히 추천하고 다시 여기에 머물 것입니다.

Booked the princess suite for our first wedding anniversary was a perfect choice. The reception staff were amazing when checking in and as this was a surprise stay for my wife I had arranged for a bottle of champagne to be on ice ready in our suite, the cake and the happy anniversary card waiting for us in our suite was a the perfect little touch. The suit was perfect and nicely tucked away from busy corridors, super comfortable bed and was spotless throughout. We had decided to eat dinner in the city centre but spent an hour or two in the bar on our return, again the staff were very friendly and professional, breakfast was perfect serving proper Lincolnshire sausages (not the rubbish you’d find in the supermarket) the check out time of 11:00 was perfect, giving us the morning to relax after breakfast. The only downside and was in no way the fault of the hotel was the electrical work being carried out just outside. Overall we were extremely happy with the Lincoln hotel and all its staff.

We'd booked a table at the restaurant with friends and decided we'd stay over. Booked well in advance. Now the room was nothing to sniff at. It was neat and tidy and the bed was comfortable. The fan however was about as much use as an asthmatic ant blowing through a straw, this didn't help on one of the hottest days of the year. That's where the good ends. When we checked in we were behind a couple who were a little older than ourselves and had a stellar service from the reception man. He asked if there was anything he could do, he asked if he could book them a table at the restaurant, and he asked if they needed a taxi anywhere, he was genuinely awesome and courteous. Our turn to check in arrives. We're a professional couple in our early 40's and our friends behind us are the same. As soon as we got to the desk the smiles faded and the friendly demeanour disappeared. He kept on informing us that he needed the card details of the card we booked with in case we 'trashed' the room. He mentioned this over and over again must have been close to 10 times and he kept saying that it was because he's had trouble with groups before and he wanted to be able to charge us for any damage! He also said it's because the price of the room (that we had pre-booked) may go up overnight, we'd never heard of this before and protested this quirk but he wasn't in the mood to chat about it. He never told us about the hotel. Never asked if we wanted a table at the restaurant. Never even asked if we were OK. Horrendous service. Come the morning, Leanne was on duty. She was a breath of fresh air. She was mortified at our treatment and promptly gave us all the information we needed to complain, she was kind, courteous and frankly everything that the chap the night before wasn't. Just because a group walks in, it does not mean we are trouble. We were pre-judged and made to feel lower than second class which for a group of medical professional friends enjoying a reunion was frankly appalling. ** UPDATE ** We highlighted all of our issues to the member of Leanne in the morning who said when we were able, to make a written complaint but that she would deal with it personally. Email sent to Damons head office for the complaint. The reply from Stuart Carey who is apparently a Director of the company is frankly appalling, dismissive and rude. He mentions that a complaint should be sent promptly and that complaints that aren't, are not taken seriously. We emailed 4 working days after our stay as we were on holiday and believed it was being handled by the lady we spoke to. His email goes as far to say that myself and my group are nothing short of liars and that because it was not dealt with at the time they aren't too bothered about it. Steer well clear of this place.

Nice room with a cathedral view. Bed very comfortable and quiet at night. We were on the 3rd floor but used the stairs, as the lifts are the slowest on the planet! It is an old property, but if you can accept the quirks and idiosyncrasies this brings, it is a charming place for a stay. The location could not be better. We loved it, but you need to embrace some mild eccentricities.

Wow wow and wow what an amazing place, our wedding was soooo good, I couldn’t fault one thing at all, from the meeting at the beginning with Jenna to the final day it was all totally seamless, the food was exceptional nothing was too much, all waiters/waitresses were sublime, a breakfast the next day was also amazing , this place is a diamond and totally worth a visit, so happy we get to start our life and have this place as a lovely place to keep coming back to for memories, thanks to all staff keep up the good work 🩷
