펄 콘티넨탈이 5성급 호텔이라는 소식을 듣고, 꼭 묵고 싶었습니다. 도착했을 때 리셉션 직원들은 매우 정중하고 전문적이었습니다. 하지만 컴퓨터 문제 때문인지 체크인이 느렸습니다. 객실은 특별할 것 없었고, 매우 낡아 보였고, 리모델링이 필요한 듯했습니다. 특히 욕실은 1성급 호텔 수준이었습니다. 조식은 괜찮았고 서비스도 적당했습니다. 5성급에는 확실히 못 미치는 수준이었습니다. 체크아웃할 때도 리셉션 직원들은 전문적이고 정중했습니다. 특히 체크아웃할 때 택시를 타기 가장 좋은 곳이 어디냐고 물어본 게 금은방처럼 느껴졌습니다. 입구 근처에 택시 안내 데스크가 있고, 거기 직원이 교통편을 예약해 줄 수 있다고 했습니다. 그래서 안내 데스크에 가서 가고 싶은 곳을 말했습니다. 5분 정도 계산기를 두드린 후, 안내 데스크 직원은 요금이 1만 루피라고 말했습니다. 저는 ”1만 루피!”라고 외쳤습니다. 예상 소요 시간의 두 배가 넘는 금액이었습니다. 소위 ”5성급” 호텔 직원들이 준비해 주었기에 조금 더 들 것으로 예상했습니다. 요금에 대한 제 생각을 이야기했지만, 그 남자는 관심이 없었습니다. 마지못해 요금을 받고 1만 루피를 현금으로 지불했습니다. 그러면서도 한낮의 더위 속에서 택시 기사들과 몇백 미터를 걸어가는 수고를 덜어줄 거라고 스스로를 설득했습니다. 그래서 데스크 직원의 안내를 받아 차량까지 갔습니다. 차는 특별할 것 없는 평범한 세단이었고, 상태가 좋지 않았습니다. 데스크 직원은 제게 데스크로 따라오라고 손짓했습니다. 아내에게는 차 안에서 편안하게 앉으라고 했고, 운전사는 짐을 트렁크에 넣기 시작했습니다. 저는 그를 따라 호텔 입구로 돌아가서 무슨 일인지 물었습니다. 그는 마일리지를 잘못 계산해서 돈을 더 내야 한다고 태연하게 대답했습니다. 그러자 저는 웃으며 이미 두 배는 넘었다고 대답했습니다. 어떻게 더 달라고 할 수 있겠어요! 운전사에게 짐을 차에서 내리라고 소리치고 아내에게 너무 긴장하지 말라고 했습니다. 그러고 나서 접수 담당자에게 이렇게 비전문적이고 모욕적인 대접을 받아본 적이 없다고 말했습니다. 이런 식의 갈취 수법은 소위 ”5성급” 호텔에 어울리지 않는다고 말했습니다. 1만 루피를 요구하자 그는 마지못해 건넸습니다. 이제 그만 묵으세요. 다시는 라왈핀디의 펄 컨티넨탈 호텔에 묵지 않을 겁니다. 어떤 식으로든 5성급 호텔이라고 할 수는 없습니다. 저를 속이려 했던 그 사람 같은 직원들이 대낮에 두 번이나 저를 속였다는 사실은, 이곳에 존재하는 절박함과 탐욕, 그리고 존중이나 예의라는 어떤 형태의 존중도 ​​완전히 무시하는 모습을 여실히 보여줍니다. 전혀 부끄러울 게 없어요. 어쨌든 호텔 밖으로 6피트(약 1.8미터) 정도 걸어가서 택시를 타고 4,000루피(약 1,800원)에 같은 길을 갔습니다. 조심하세요. 모든 게 겉보기와 같지는 않아요. 저 미소 짓는 열정적인 사람들과 대낮의 노상강도들을 조심하세요.

호텔 경영진님께 !!! 이 호텔은 정말 최고예요! 칭찬해도 모자랄 정도예요. 특히 리셉션 직원들은 제가 파키스탄에서 경험해 본 것 중 최고의 고객 서비스 기술을 갖추고 있어요. 마치 서양 호텔에 있는 것 같아요. 이름을 기억하고 싶었지만, 체크인과 체크아웃을 담당해주신 직원분은 정말 전문적이고 고객 서비스 능력이 훌륭했어요. 리셉션 경영진은 그 직원의 신원을 알아내서 급여를 인상해 줘야 해요. 신의 가호가 있기를 바랍니다.

나는 좋은 중국 음식을 여러 번 먹었습니다. 아침 식사도 풍성합니다. 중국인 요리사가 관리하고 있어요 유일한 단점은 방에 있는 식수 수질이 너무 딱딱해서 이틀 동안 주전자를 끓이고 나면 물때가 많이 남습니다. 호텔이 개선되기를 바랍니다. 다음번에도 이곳에 묵을 예정입니다. 공항과 매우 가깝고 보안도 매우 좋습니다.

Overall experience was good. I have been going to this hotel since I was a little boy in the 90s. The good: Quality service. Amazing breakfast buffet with local and continental options. Breathtaking view. Consistency across 3 decades. The bad: Facilities are very outdated and need a big upgrade. My 4 year old played on the same swings that I played at his age. Great for nostalgia and recreating old pics. However, shows how outdated things are. In fact, some were just broken. Table tennis and squash rooms that were freely available for guests years ago are closed and replaced with some 4D entertainment which wasn't functional. Not much for recreation for a resort-type hotel. Room TVs were not smart TVs.

I have booked the room through Trip.com but when i arrived at the hotel, they told me to pay again to them because they didn’t receive the money from Trip.com, So i paid twice for staying once. Be careful guys.

I stayed at Hotel Dream Palace Sialkot for one night and was genuinely impressed. The experience was far beyond my expectations. The room was comfortable, clean and well-equipped with all the essentials, including hand and bath towels, comb, soap, shampoo and complimentary hotel slippers. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite and always available to assist whenever needed. A special mention to the Front Office and Concierge team — they were exceptionally welcoming, helpful and professional throughout my stay. Overall, a very pleasant experience and excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend Hotel Dream Palace to anyone visiting Sialkot, and I would happily stay here again. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

amenities can be improved. frequent short power outages observed at different times during the stay. soap and shampoo bottles were way too old and a hassle to pump. finding the light switch and dimmer was a real struggle. housekeeping was slow and had to be reminded twice to make up the room.

Very good service and hotel. A little outdate decor on 3rd floor but other than that nothing to fault.
