This Was the third time of state at this location. The first few times were all right, however, the room quality Seem to degrade each time I stayed. This last time the toilet kept running, and I informed the front desk and I was told, “it still works”.  Body wash in the shower &, privacy placard  were missing. Had to walk & park 2 blocks away @ 1am as parking lot was full.

Lovely, Large 1 Br Apt in Sunny Central Marin! On 2 acres of gardens & woodlands

What a special place this is! Sit on the patio, sip tea and look out over a hillside of peaceful woodlands. Wake up to the callof our resident redtail hawk, and go to sleep to the sound of our local owls. See the occasional deer walking the paths below you. Walk through blooming gardens filled with hummingbirds and butterflies to get to and from your car. Have a picnic on the front lawn. What a perfect retreat.The Garden Apartment is on the ground floor of our family home, a Victorian dating back to 1903. The house sits on a beautifully landscaped 2-acre gated family compound with two other cottages and a central lawn which everyone is welcome to use. It's a truly unique property. And the location is just incredible. We are in Kentfield, one of a string of small towns (we call it a "string of pearls") in upscale Central Marin, an area world-known for its yearlong mild weather, hiking and nature, great restaurants and proximity to both San Francisco and wine country. This is a great launching spot to explore the SF Bay Area.The apartment itself is lovely, comfortable, and quite large at 800 sf plus patio. It is a terrific value considering the grounds and the location. It has been recently renovated, and has a fresh new feel. The entry steps are entirely rebuilt, with great lighting and handrails. There is an in-unit washer/ dryer, a 50' HD flatscreen TV, a beautiful new dining set, and head-to-toe redesign including new light fixtures, window treatments, bed linens, throw pillows and more. It all feels very fresh and stylish. The one thing that hasn’t been redone is the original kitchen, whose retro vibe we love. It retains its’ funky handmade oak cabinets, blue tile counters and spanish tile floors. (I swear I grew up in that kitchen!) The apartment comfortably sleeps 3, with an enclosed bedroom and a twin bed/ daybed in a nook off the living room. Both of the beds are exceptionally high quality and comfortable, as are the linens and pillows; We take our sleep quality seriously here! The main bedroom features a premium latex bed and the twin bed nook a new Puffy memory foam mattress. The unit comes with a small patio, a private entrance and one parking space. It is quiet, serene, and ridiculously safe, with woodland views from every window. THINGS TO NOTE: This is a ground floor unit in a family home, so guests should expect there to be some upstairs noise: footsteps, voices, barking, etc. Most of our guests are entirely fine with the noise level, but very noise-sensitive folks might not find this unit comfortable.PET POLICY:We love dogs and welcome them to this pet-friendly property! Here are the rules:1 well-behaved dog 50 lb or less allowed in the unit. No dogs younger than 1 year. $50 nonrefundable pet fee/ pet. Please abide by the following: - Clean up after your dog scrupulously- Only well-behaved dogs allowed. No chewing, excessive barking, etc.- Please don’t leave your dog alone for longer than 4 hours. Dogsitting easily available through Rover.- Make sure dogs are current on flea and tick treatment.- IMPORTANT: Dirty dogs must be cleaned off before re-entering unit. If yur dog’s paws are muddy, wash and dry them at the provided “Dog paw washing station” near the lawn (towels are in the grey box). If your dog is overall dirty (ie they’ve been to the beach etc.) please give them a bath at Woodland Pets in Greenbrae. - Use provided couch and bed covers- PLEASE report any damage to us immediately, especially “accidents”, so that we can treat immediately before they set in- Have fun playing with Rosie our sweet resident Bernadoodle! She’s entirely friendly.- Use provided covers on couch and bed.PARKING:The Garden Apartment comes with one parking spot. Nearby street parking is very limited: 45 minutes until 10pm weekdays. So please bring just one car. No other cars allowed on the property, even for a short period. This lovely cottage was originally a music studio for the owner, a performing musician and teacher. Now in its second life as a guest cottage, you can still feel the happy vibe of the space! Fully renovated in Sept. of 2020, the large 1200sf space is fresh, upscale, and very Marin. The light-filled great room has soaring 20' ft. ceilings and walls of windows looking out onto woodlands. The cottage is located in a quiet, private 2-acre property walking distance to town and convenient to both San Francisco and wine country.The Musician's Cottage is nestled in our peaceful, historic family property along with our Victorian main house and another cottage. The grounds are landscaped beautifully with wild woodlands behind. The cottage has access to a lovely green front lawn and a private back deck. Hummingbirds and butterflies flit about, deer are frequent visitors, and we even get the occasional fox. As you enter the cottage you feel the freshness of a full, high-quality renovation. There is a new kitchen, a dining area flooded by light from double french doors, an incredible great room with double-height ceilings and a small loft for reading or stashing an extra guest. Enormous windows surround the great room on three sides and look onto old sculptural oaks; you'll feel like you are in a treehouse. The bedroom wing features a quiet master bedroom with woodland views, a large, luxurious new bathroom, and a twin bedroom. The renovation was done by an award-winning San Francisco designer, and all furnishings, fixtures and finishes are stylish and of the highest quality. And another plus: There is so much outdoor space to enjoy! A private back deck, a small front patio, and the large common lawn and gardens in front. Breathe deep, enjoy!The property is entirely private, with no traffic noise and surrounded by nature. But here's the kicker: It's only 1 minute from a main thoroughfare of Marin County, Sir Francis Drake. This means every convenience is close by: grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The charming small town of Kentfield is walking distance away (about 7 min down a steep hill) with a fantastic deli/ gourmet store and two restaurants. Best of all, we are in central Marin, the best part of one of the safest and most beautiful counties in the land. Marin is world-renowned for its year-round fantastic mild weather and its hiking, biking, and kayaking. Sunny central Marin, in particular, is free of the chilly fog that plaques southern Marin (Mill Valley, Sausalito, Stinson Beach) and San Francisco. Central Marin, moreover, is located about halfway between San Francisco and wine country, making it convenient to both. It's no wonder that so many Marinites call this place Paradise!This is the perfect place to bring your pooch along on vacation! The property has a central common lawn for the doggos to play, and is a gated compound at the dead end of a road so very little traffic (except us). Rosie the resident mini-bernadoodle is a wonderful hostess and always up for playtime! Pet policy: 1 dog 50 lb and older than 1 year welcome in the cottage. No cats. Dog must be cleaned up after scrupulously. Dogs with behavior issues like chewing or excessive barking are not allowed. If dog’s paws are dirty wash and dry them at the “Dog Paw Washing Station” next to the lawn (towels in grey bin) before entering the cottage. If more than just their paws are dirty please give them a bath before re-entering. Use provided couch and bed covers. $50 nonrefundable pet fee.NOTE: Your unit comes with two assigned parking spots, on the tight side. They are large enough for 2 standard-size cars (compact to midsized), one full sized car and one compact, or one large or oversized vehicle. 아주 멋진 호텔, 커피 머신과 전자 레인지가있는 조용하고 넓은 방, 매일 제공되는 스타 벅스 커피와 홍차, 모든 새 옆에 분수 공원이 있으며 체크인시 로비가 개조되고 아름답게 포장되어 있습니다. 아침 식사는 보통이었고 먹을 것이 충분하지 않았습니다. 매일 아침 식사를 마치고 빵 두 덩이를 들고 갈매기들에게 먹이를 주러 나갔습니다. 많은 새들이 기다리고 있었습니다. 차로 2분 정도 나가서 다리를 건너면 메이시스 백화점에 먹을게 많습니다. Safeway 슈퍼마켓이 옆에 있습니다. 물건도 싸고 과일도 싸다. 회원카드를 빌릴 수 있는 백인 출납원을 찾습니다. 훨씬 저렴합니다. 흑인 계산원은 일반적으로 당신을 무시합니다. 언제든지 주차장이 있습니다. 맞은편 쉐라톤 호텔 사거리에 있는 주유소가 샌프란시스코에서 가장 저렴합니다. 적극 추천합니다.
