Our island is meant to be explored!Occasionally the island electric company WAPA will have an issue with their service and you may experience an unexpeceted power outage; sometimes this is island-wide and sometimes it only affects certain areas, but it has nothing to do with the resort or our villa, so unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about this. Should this happen, you'll also temporarily lose running water (which also means no toilet flushing), but there should be bottles of water under the bathroom sink to pour in the tank if needed. Should you experience a power outage, the restaurants on Point Pleasant have independant generators and so does the lobby so they will be open, but its a perfect opportunity to unplug and go to the beach or explore different places on the island. Sapphire Beach has coral reefs on each side for snorkeling. Kayaks and lounge chairs are available for rent at the beach. Other water sports such as jet skis and parasailing are available either from vendors on the beach or at the marina.The Red Hook ferry to St. John runs hourly and only takes about 15 minutes to get there. In St. John you can explore numerous gorgeous white sand beaches and snorkeling spots as well as enjoy several quaint shops, restaurants and bars.You can take the local “Safari Bus” open air taxi to Red Hook less than 5 minutes away for $1.Many other attractions of St. Thomas are a short drive or taxi ride away, including Coki Beach, Coral World, and Magens Bay.
