Just a short (thankfully downhill) walk from the railway station (extensive rail and bus services give easy access to almost anywhere in the Netherlands) the hotel is an even shorter walk from the north bank of the Nederrijn with its shady walks and numerous restaurants. Very handy as there is no restaurant at any IHG Express. As I arrived mid-morning the room was not ready but the staff (more about them later) were happy to store my case until I returned that afternoon (and again after checkout before leaving on an afternoon train). The room itself was a good size with a large comfortable bed, a functional desk and chair and a comfortable chair. Air conditioning kept the temperature stable and the lighting was good - not the ”fashionable” near darkness of some. Bathroom was good with a spacious shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. Coffee and tea available. Breakfast is the only meal offered and is a fairly basic standard european offering. Meats, eggs and cheeses were adequate, yoghurt good, fresh fruit salad very good indeed. Coffee was machine provided and good with a variety of offerings. No hot options (standard with the Express brand) and I did not try any of the other cold choices. Although fairly centrally located with easy access to shops and all the usual facilities and infrastructure the room was quiet and peaceful. An Albert Heijn mini-supermarket opposite attracted small groups in the evening but was not a bother - indeed very useful for an occasional small purchase. All standard and as expected for the brand so why mark it excellent? I will come back to the staff who were unfailingly excellent - helpful, cheery and friendly (though never less than professional) and recognised me by the end of day 1. A credit to the hotel and its management. This is now my first choice when next in the vicinity

It got me thinking I may as well have gone for a more expensive hotel for the overall cost. In spite of this, Nijmegen is a place very close to my heart and this hotel is very well located with comfortable rooms (although a little chilly as the air con is without a warming function - being a winter visit). As a frequent visitor of hotels, at least once every 6 to 8 weeks, this hotel will meet your needs and I do like the catering for business such as a desk in each room as well as the fridge and kettle provisions. The unadvertised charge of 54% extra (out of pocket) being the main gripe, which is in no relation to City Tax or Service Charge which is ok. This overall would otherwise be a reasonably 'ok' stay.

I would rate De Reehorst as somewhere between a three and four star hotel. The ground floor looks quite interesting although I did not make use of the bar or restaurant. The room I stayed in for one night was pretty basic. The best thing about it was the television. The pillows were uncomfortable and the bathroom has seen better days.

Stayed 1 night on a Leger Holidays tour. Before arrival our guide phoned ahead to book our group of 26 people into the restaurant for dinner. We were told this would be fine and there would also be porterage for our luggage. Plus as we had an early start in the morning a take away breakfast would be supplied and we would be given a list to select our choices. However on arrival the receptionist knew nothing of the conversation stating that her colleague had gone home and no one knew anything about the prior arrangement. So no porterage and no take away breakfast list. The issue of porterage was quite a problem as there was a fair number of elderly people in our group and some of the rooms had no lift access. (In fairness the receptionist did carry one elderly gentleman's case to his room) Our group was told to go to the Restaurant at 6-30pm for dinner which we did only to be told we weren't dining in the restaurant but in the bar area. We had no proper menu to look at and on complaining we were given a hastily prepared sheet of paper with limited choice and no prices. Once again we complained about this and another sheet of paper appeared with prices. We noticed that we were being charged the same price for our limited choice menu as the Ala Carte menu so why couldn't we be given the Ala Carte menu in the first place and sit in the proper restaurant? By now it was 8pm and a couple of our group had given up on the idea of eating and had gone to bed. The service we received was also third rate. Soup arriving after the main course and no spoon to eat it with, table water was requested which arrived but nobody thought about giving us glasses to drink it, food arriving luke warm/cold. Another 2 members of our group gave up with dinner and decided to eat bar food at the bar. They ordered their food together and one arrived an hour after the first. When we finally managed to track down a duty manager and brought all the above to her attention she was unsympathetic and quite obnoxious in the manner she responded to an elderly person who raised the difficulties the hotel were obviously having in catering for a group. You would think a hotel would welcome a group of 26 into their restaurant with open arms and provide a better service. The chaotic feel also extended into the rooms. Although they were of a fair size they were a little dated. The bathroom had a very deep bathtub that was quite hazardous to get in and out of even for a tall person like myself and there was no safety grab rails. There was a kettle in the room but no English breakfast tea and paper cups. (The kind of thing you would expect in a budget hotel) In fairness the take away breakfast was good and so large it also sufficed for lunch as well. Sadly any plus points were outweighed by the appalling treatment our group received the previous evening.

Let me start off by saying: if you are looking for a nice area for walking and cycling, this hotel may be worth it. The surrounding woods are quite nice. Other than that, don't expect much. As others have already mentioned, it's not a typical hotel but more of an outdated holiday resort. It's not even close to being worth 4 stars. There are two rooms per building, using the same main entrance, and you have to pay extra if you want the ground level room - which is apparently also the only one with a kettle and coffee machine. The stairs to the first-floor hotel room are quite steep and not accessible to everyone. The vibe it gave was 'sleeping over in your 70-year-old uncle/grandpa's attic'. The rooms are very old-fashioned, with no clock, an old radio you can't plug in because of the lack of outlets, and a bit of a musty smell. The 'two-person bed' is just two single beds pushed together, so if you want to be intimate with your partner or just sleep close together you will most definitely end up in the gap in between. The beds don't sleep great, either. There is no airconditioning so it gets quite hot in the summer with no way of cooling down, and the wifi is not too stable. There is also some mould in the shower, as well as rust, and the window in the bathroom does not open. The toilet sometimes refused to flush properly. Breakfast was standard, don't expect any vegan options except for bread and peanut butter. You are allowed to take some stuff for lunch, though, which is nice. There is no fridge in your room however, so keeping things cool is not an option. Also bring your own cutlery, plate & cup if you plan on buying breakfast/lunch at a local supermarket, because the room only comes with two plastic-lined paper cups. There is only one vegetarian main course on the restaurant menu, but the chef was very kind and made the vegetarian lunch options dinner-sized for us. Vegan would definitely be impossible, though. The restaurant and pool are also not that easily accessible for people in a wheelchair or with a walking impairment. Definitely get some sort of voucher or discount deal, otherwise the prices are way too high for what you get. You're not allowed to order food from Thuisbezorgd etc. The pool is... well, it's not much. It's small but barely anyone goes for a swim there, so chances are you will have it all to yourself. Bring something like a diving game or a ball if you want to have anything fun to do. The showers don't really work and half of them only have cold water. There is a tennis court but it will cost about 12 euros per hour to use it, and the 'sports fields' that are on the map they give you have become overgrown and cannot be used. You're not allowed to park your bike next to/close to your building but there is an old shed-like building in which you can store your bike. My week spent at the Hotel Pauw was good. It was located in the city of Nijmegen and was within walking distance of groceries and shops. It is very accessible to Primark, TKmax and other branded shops. The room was spotless. The only downside of this hotel is the poor and unstable Wi-Fi connection, and there was no room dining service. Although you can order food delivery, they did not allow it to be delivered to your room.

This was our first driving tour to The Netherlands from the Uk. We selected this hotel based on it being in a convenient location for visiting the Arnhem and Oosterbeek Operation Market Garden historic places of interest. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was bigger than expected and was very quiet even though the hotel was very busy. The selection of fresh food available at the buffet breakfast was excellent and the lunch and evening meals were good quality at reasonable prices. Overall the standard of accommodation and quality of food and service exceeded our expectations for the price paid. We would certainly recommend this hotel and will also look at other hotels in the Van der Valk chain based on our experience at the Arnhem hotel.

We were welcomed very enthusiastically even though it was already late in the evening! We got a lovely room, clean and spacious with nice beds. The only thing we missed was a kettle in the room with bags of coffee and tea. Afterwards it turned out that you could rent this, but that was not very clear. The hotel is attractive and cozy. The brasserie is fine and the staff is very friendly. The surroundings are beautiful, you can walk straight into the forest on the other side and there are many activities to do.

The sports theme is everywhere in this hotel and it's great to see, a nice change from all the anonymous hotels out there. The room was comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was fantastic and I would strongly recommend it if you're staying here, though there is a bit of a walk from the rooms to the restaurant. Parking very close to the hotel entrance outside was free, with plenty of space. The hotel appears to be in a calm and beautiful area. Unfortunately, the booked rooms did not match what we received when we arrived. Even though a suite was included in the booking - and pre-paid for - we only received normal twin rooms. Upon raising this with the front desk and asking for a partial refund they promised to get back to me via e-mail, which they never did. I raised the issue with the booking agent who also contacted the property, but they refused to refund the partial cost. I'm afraid this cast a shadow on an otherwise pleasant stay and I'm upset that the hotel was not be willing to compensate for their mistake, even just the cost difference.

We stayed here from the 10th to 12 august while visiting arnhem. The proximity to the mainline station and central shopping area is brilliant. Hotel is easy to find, check in was quick and very friendly and the hotel is in good condition. We got the double and the single room. The single is very sparse, shower, toilet and single bed with not much else, double room was much better with a bath, 2 large single beds and much more space. The breakfast in the mornings was very tasty with a large selection of cold meats, fruit, yogurts, cerea, bread and spreads. There was also bacon, scrambled eggs and sausages, which were very good. We intend to return here on our next trip to Arnhem

Terrible experience at this hotel. The room did not match the photos shown at the time of booking at all. It felt like the Harry Potter cupboard under the stairs. The booking promised a balcony or a scenic view. There was no balcony, and the view was far from scenic. Instead, it overlooked the entrance area where people sat and loudly discussed their business all the time. This was not at all what we expected to see, and there was nothing scenic about it. We asked for a room change and were given a different room, but it was a downgrade from our original booking. However, as I understand it, we were charged according to the original reservation. When we checked in, we were informed that breakfast was served until 11:30 AM, and check-out was at 11 AM. We asked for confirmation because it seemed odd, and they confirmed these times. The next morning, we arrived for breakfast at 10:50 AM, only to be told that breakfast had ended at 11 AM. Although we arrived before 11, they offered us bread and eggs. The restaurant was already being cleaned and vacuumed, which made eating bread and eggs under such noisy conditions very unappealing. Overall, it was a terrible experience at this hotel. Additionally, in the morning, you can hear the cleaning staff loudly talking across the entire floor. They responded on booking that we were offered a delicious à la carte breakfast, but it was like “I can make bread and eggs for you”, but nothing else. They responded on Google that we have never been there, but it’s fake. I have proofs and the property just doesn’t take responsibility for their bad service

I cannot recommend Hotel Modez highly enough. This is the third time our group have stayed here and I have never been disappointed. Over the past three years, I have been in regular communication with the Hotel, and their assistance in arranging the trip for our group of 30 was flawless, always a timely ,courteous and pleasant response. Not only did they assist me in organising the stay at the hotel, but they went above and beyond and made our trip extra special by arranging transport for us, which I was finding particularly difficult from my base in Australia. Every staff member is super friendly and courteous, the hotel is in a great location, the rooms are immaculate, and the breakfast is fresh and tasty.

Lovely hotel. Great location right next to the train station, 4 mins on the train into the centre of Nijmegen with trains every 30 mins. Helpful and friendly staff. Free car parking, easy to get a space in the multi storey car park attached to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was incredible! Crepe/ omelette live cooking, extensive hot and cold buffets and even Prosecco if you fancied it.

I had a great stay here. Big room with a small kitchen, dinnertable and a sizeable bathroom. Everything clean and tidy. The room has a guesthouse feeling and not a bland hotel room appearance. Very helpful and nice staff. The guesthouse is in the middle of the city centre. 4 mins walk to the train station and 2 mins walk to the concert place Doornroosje, which was my purpose of the stay. One thing to note is that the reception is not staffed during night. If you need to check in or out after 18:00 you need to contact the staff beforehand. With your room card you can enter and leave the guesthouse at your will 24/7 so I had no problem with this arrangement. I will certainly book here again if I ever find myself in Nijmegen again.

The rooms are really nice and comfortable and everyone is incredibly nice and welcoming. They also do a great job at being eco-friendly. They do not do a great job with dinner / drink service and the food was only average. Definitely would not eat dinner at the restaurant. And things like getting water, ice, or even a coffee was not easy during the day. Could all be a lot better. And they charge for parking in an area that really shouldn't.

Bilderberg Hotel De Keizerskroon은 많은 역사를 지닌 멋진 새롭게 개조된 호텔입니다. 매우 전문적이고 친절하며 수용적인 직원과 레스토랑은 확실히 놓쳐서는 안 될 레스토랑입니다. 호텔은 궁전 ”Het Loo” 바로 옆에 있으며 Apeldoorn 및 기타 인근 마을의 다른 많은 명소와 가깝습니다. 그들은 또한 멋진 크기의 온수 수영장을 가지고 있습니다. 확실히 내가 추천하고 싶은 곳입니다.

Every time I drive my partner to Holland we look for a Van der Valk hotel whatever our destination because we know exactly what to expect .. High standard quality of service , amenities , food, interior design .. and above all friendly and competent staff .. Hotel van der Valk Apeldoorn is no exception...Nice pool , very large and comfortable design room , very comfortable box spring bed, pet friendly hotel , a nice park nearby to walk your dog , and above all the famous van der Valk breakfast ... Smoked Salmon , muffins, various kinds of bread , croissants, cheeses , marmalades , waffeln with cherries marmalade , cold cutts.... and of course scrambled eggs with bacon or omelette ...

호텔은 중앙 광장에 위치하고 있으며 레스토랑 중 하나 위에 있습니다. 메인 스트리트를 따라 많은 레스토랑과 상점이 있습니다. 기차역은 도보로 약 10분 거리에 있지만 근처에 버스 정류장이 있습니다. 버스를 타고 Giethoorn(Zwolle 경유)과 Nationale Park De Hoge Veluwe로 갈 수 있습니다. 이것이 제가 이 도시를 선택한 이유이기도 합니다. 객실은 새로 리노베이션되었고 침대와 베개는 매우 편안합니다. 욕실은 새롭고 깨끗하며 헤어드라이어가 있습니다. 큰 가방을 놓고 물건을 보관할 수 있을 만큼 큽니다. 커피 머신도 있습니다. 5성급 호텔에 있는 것 같아요! 리셉션 데스크를 관리하는 직원은 없지만 모든 직원(웨이터와 웨이트리스)이 도울 수 있습니다. 직원의 도움을 받기 위해 오래 기다릴 필요가 없습니다. 그들은 매우 친절하고 도움이 됩니다. 알아야 할 점은 호텔에 엘리베이터가 없어서 가파른 계단을 통해 2층으로 짐을 들고 가야 한다는 것입니다. 다행히도 직원들이 도와줍니다. 방음이 좋지는 않지만, 방이 몇 개뿐이라 큰 문제는 아닙니다. 광장에 있는 식당에서 소음도 납니다. 저는 자정까지 소음이 나지 않기 때문에 괜찮습니다. 레스토랑이 두 개 있는데, 하나는 캐주얼한 'Cafe de Paris'이고, 다른 하나는 고급 레스토랑 'Spicebrush de Proeverij'입니다. 저는 두 곳 다 가봤습니다. 음식이 너무 맛있고 비싸지 않습니다. 아펠도른은 사랑스러운 작은 도시입니다. 관심 있는 곳은 많지 않지만, 그곳에 머물며 주변을 탐험하기 좋습니다. 다시 오는 것을 좋아합니다!

이 작은 호텔은 정말 작은 천국이에요! 아름다운 라운지/조식실은 매우 따뜻하고 우아하며, 페트라는 훌륭한 호스트입니다. 아무 문제도 없었으며 자신이 하는 일에 큰 자부심을 갖고 있는 사람을 만나는 것은 사랑스러웠습니다. 특히 신선한 꽃과 양초가 마음에 들었습니다. 💐 아침 식사는 주문 즉시 만들어졌으며 모든 것이 신선하고 아름답게 준비되었습니다. 방은 호텔 앞쪽에 있었지만 지나가는 차량의 소음이 거의 없었습니다. 샤워 시설이 훌륭하고 사랑스러운 수건이 많이 제공되었으며 고급 샤워 젤/헤어 워시가 제공되었습니다. 매우 편안한 침대와 3박의 숙면을 취했습니다! 페트라는 스타입니다! 낸시 & 캐롤라인 😊
