I booked this hotel because the promotion made it seem luxurious, but the surroundings feel odd, almost like all the trees have been removed by purpose, littered with dry leaves and fallen branches. It feels dirty and poorly cared for. I was expecting a neatly landscaped area with grass and trees, but instead, the outside feels like a barren, lifeless space. That said, the inside of the room looks very good. The accommodation consists of two separate large caravan‑style rooms. They are not very spacious, but they are sufficient for a family of four. One of the rooms has slightly less living space because it includes a larger bathroom, with a full‑size bathtub. This is something you rarely find in Tokyo, where most bathtubs are quite small, so this was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, we struggled with the bathtub controls as it was written in Japanese, we couldn't use it after all. Also, the heating system are all labeled in Japanese, and there were no clear instructions in English. As a result, we didn’t figure out how to use the heating until the second night. We stayed for two nights in total. There is an outdoor spa area, which is interesting and enjoyable. We used it and found it quite good, although it is small. It works best for two people, three is a tight squeeze, and four would be uncomfortable. The sauna is decent and operates daily. Breakfast is served at set times rather than as a buffet, likely because the hotel only has 14 rooms. Guests must choose a time slot, such as 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30. We chose 8:30. Breakfast is a set menu rather than self‑service. Each morning includes a starter, a main dish, and some small item to finish, well enough for us. The first day was Japanese‑style, with a rice‑based dish. The second day was Western‑style, with a sandwich as the main course and fried eggs with pork belly. The food tasted good, but we would have appreciated more water. We did not ask for refills, as staff left the area after serving. Finding the hotel is a bit difficult. The entrance sign is blocked by a car park sign, making it very easy to miss. You need to drive very slowly, or you will pass it without realising it. We spent several minutes searching before realising this was the place. Be prepared to see a car park with two signs, where one directly blocks the hotel’s entrance sign.

이 호텔은 정말 최고예요. 인테리어가 너무 아름답고 디자인도 훌륭해요. 아래층에는 침대 두 개가 있고, 위층에는 접이식 침대 세 개가 있어서 공간이 훨씬 넓고 편안하게 느껴져요. 거실도 있고, 야외 공간도 정말 멋져요. 화장실도 깨끗하고 예쁘고 꽤 넓어요. 서비스도 최고였어요. 어느 날 밤에 난방 켜는 법을 몰라서 직원에게 전화했더니, 밤중에 직접 방으로 와서 켜는 걸 도와주셨어요. 서비스가 정말 훌륭했어요. 꼭 다시 오고 싶어요. 하루만 예약한 게 너무 후회돼요.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property was comfortable, clean, and in a quieter location which we really liked, as it was away from the main town centre, but close to the lake that offers stunning views of Mt Fuji. And, there’s even a good view of Mt Fuji right from the property’s bathtub! The free arrival and departure shuttle (by request upon booking) was so helpful in accessing the property from the main train station. Bikes are provided with the property and there are local shops for purchasing food, plus good restaurants, all within walking distance. The owners respond quickly to questions. The house is equipped with wall-mounted smart controllers for running the hot water system, filling the bathtub etc, for which manuals are provided, but to save time we used Google translate to quickly identify the various control buttons. Also useful for operating appliances and remote controls, etc. Highly recommend this property and area.

Clean, good facilities and has a great view of Mount Fuji from the living area! Would happily stay here again if I returned to the area.

가와구치코 주변에 숙소는 많겠지만, 이곳을 선택하길 정말 잘했다는 생각이 듭니다. 가와구치코 역에 늦게 도착했고, 픽업 서비스를 미리 예약하지 않았음에도 불구하고 혹시나 하는 마음에 전화드렸는데, 사장님께서 흔쾌히 픽업을 와주시겠다고 하셨습니다. 10분 정도 기다려달라고 하시며 지정된 픽업 장소로 안내해주셨고, 덕분에 숙소까지 아주 순조롭게 도착할 수 있었습니다. 체크인도 신속하게 처리해주셨고, 주변 관광지에 대한 정보도 친절하게 알려주셨습니다. 다음 날 도쿄로 돌아가야 한다는 것을 아시고는, 기차표 예약을 미리 해두라고 조언해주셨고, 시간을 알려드리면 역까지 데려다주시겠다고 하셔서 너무 감사했습니다. 사장님은 정말 멋지시고 영어도 아주 유창하게 하셨습니다. 숙소는 작은 빌라 형태로 가족 단위 여행객에게 아주 적합합니다. 정말 깨끗하고 먼지 한 톨 없을 정도로, 일본 특유의 디테일에 대한 높은 기준을 느낄 수 있었습니다. 전반적인 숙박 경험은 정말 만점이었습니다. 숙소에서도 후지산이 아주 선명하게 보이지만, 가와구치코 호수변으로 조금만 더 걸어가면 정말 멋진 인생샷을 건질 수 있습니다!

친구들이 이번 여행을 위해 골라준 호텔과 게스트하우스는 기대 이상이었습니다. 이 빌라는 가와구치 호수 근처에 위치해 있습니다. 주인분께서 가와구치 호수 버스 정류장에서 저희를 픽업해 주셨습니다. 건물 전체를 저희 일행이 사용할 수 있었는데, 2층에 여러 개의 방이 있었고 주인분께서 저희에게 두 개의 방을 내주셨습니다. 방은 매우 깨끗하고 깔끔했으며, 주방도 있어서 며칠 묵으면서 간단한 식사를 직접 해 먹을 수 있었습니다. 주변 환경도 아름답고 공기도 맑아서 휴가를 보내기에 더할 나위 없이 좋은 곳이었습니다.

This is a total hidden gem in Mount Fuji area! The host was very very kind - She showed us how to use all the facilities including the onsen and sauna when we checked in with great details. She also kept in touch with in via email, assisting us in every way she could. She even welcomed us with drinks and snacks! As for the villa, it was very clean, spacious and cozy. It's also very well equipped with kitchenware and all the necessary amenities! They also have a family-owned restaurant which is just steps away from the villa. We enjoyed a shabu shabu dinner during our stay and absolutely enjoyed ourselves! Thank you so much Kim for making our family vacation so enjoyable and memorable!

Sun Villa에 머무르는 것은 완전한 가족 휴가 분위기를 경험할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 후지산의 매력적인 풍경을 즐기고 가와구치코 호수 지역의 자연 매력과 여가 재미를 경험할 수 있으며 이 휴양지의 즐거움을 만끽할 수 있습니다. 정말 소중한 여행 추억입니다.

I booked Furaku-Cat. A compact house with nice location, you can see Fujisan from the balcony , there are amenity prepared , you can buy some food from supermarket or ingredient to cook , you can park a car infront of the house, a road to the house is quite small if you have a large type car please be careful when drive to the house. *The kitchen and rest room in the second floor, if you have elderly that can’t climb up-down the stairs there might be hard when they want to go to toilet.
