Come to Gulangyu Sunshine Rock at dusk to see the sunset. Riguangyan is an alias "Huangyan". Legend has it that in 1641, Zheng Chenggong came to Dangyan. When he saw that the scenery here was better than Riguang Mountain in Japan, he took the word "Dangyang" apart and called it "Sunshine Rock". Stepping into the mountain gate and looking up at the cliff stone carvings above the rock wall ahead, there are "Tianfeng Haitao" inscribed on it, and "Gulangdong Tian", "Lujiang No. 1" inscribed by three people respectively - "Gulangdong Tian is the earliest inscription on Gulangyu by Tongzhiding No. 1 of Quanzhou Prefecture in 1573; "Lujiang No. 1" is inscribed by Daoguang Jinshilin needle of Qing Dynasty. And "Tianfeng Haitao" was the subject of Xu Shiying, a Fujian inspector in 1915. The three stone carvings on a huge stone passed through three dynasties. Standing on the top, looking at the whole Xiamen Drum landscape, it is very beautiful.
