May is probably the most beautiful month in Phoenix. In late spring and early summer, it just passed the plum rain without exposure to the sun. It has tender leaves, green water and blue sky. It is comfortable in the day and cool in the evening. May and June is the season for loquats to come down. Many people on the street carry a load to sell them. The taste is slightly sour or sweet. The specialty wood hammer crisp is not bad, even the rice wine sold on the street. The cured flavor is also the characteristic of Western Hunan. There is a cured chicken which is very good. It seems to be called "Four Bowls". The local tea "berry tea" in Western Hunan is also called "rattan tea" which has good efficacy and unique taste. It has the effect of treating pharyngitis. It is not out of grade to bring this to family members, but the quality is uneven. We should bargain to avoid being pitted. Accommodation, the "light wind drunk" lodging I have lived in is wonderful, quiet and leisurely, suitable for vacation and relaxation.
