论坛报大厦也是一个很独立的建筑，芝加哥的论坛报是一个几十年历史的古老的报纸，目前的发行量在全美国也是可以排列前茅的，大厦的logo很醒目的，晚上的时候也可以看到。

论坛报大厦是芝加哥挺有名的的地标建筑，那我认为这里至少值得你逗留半小时，我们是自由行，来了这里，同事是跟团去的，行程没这个安排，回去和他们炫耀了下。

芝加哥论坛报大厦位于密歇根大街桥的北头，是一座哥特式的高楼建筑，被称为芝加哥最美的办公楼。大厦的建筑很有特色，据说外墙粘贴了来自世界100多个国家的建筑碎片，包括中国长城的石片。我们到这里的时候，大厦内部不向游人开放，所以只能看它的外观。站在大厦前我就在想，不知道在数字化时代到来之际，作为传统纸媒的芝加哥论坛报还能不能继续它的辉煌？这么大的一个大厦是不是需要考虑做些别的经营？

A landmark that completes your Chicago trip! Chicago Tribune is known for innovative investigative reports that I’m sure many of us have seen floating around in the web at some point.

This is a pretty cool building to check out in Chicago. You will find incorporated into the lower levels of the tower many relics from the world's most famous buildings: rocks and bricks from the Taj Mahal, the Parthenon, the Great Wall of China, Angkor Wat, Hagia Sofia, the Grand Pyramid... just to name a few. Those souvenirs where brought back by the Tribune's correspondents prior to it's construction in 1925.

The exterior of the Chicago Tribune Tower has pieces of other buildings adorning its outside walls. It's pretty cool to see pieces of one of the Giza pyramids, Edinburgh Castle and other historically significant pieces of architecture on this building in downtown Chicago. Helpful Tip: Rumor has it that a piece of moon rock until NASA repossessed it.

The Tribune building is right up my alley, a Franken-style structure featuring Art Deco and gothic influences. The top of the building was inspired by the French Rouen cathedral (no wonder why I love it!). I was particularly taken with the bizarre homage to famous structures around the world at the ground level, which you can see stones from numerous worldwide attractions.
