Pass through Chongde Tunnel and enter Qingshui Cliff Scenic Area formally. The narrow mountain highway is winding. This is the famous Suhua Highway connecting Yilan County and Hualian County. It is 118 kilometers long. This highway is famous for its construction along the fault coast. In the past, we have seen various landslides from TV reports. At present, the open road is located on the side of the cliff far from the sea level. It is a new road which has been opened continuously in recent years after the tunnel is repaired, and the old road ruins that have been abandoned can be seen from time to time beside it. At this moment, on one side of our eyes is Qingshui Mountain, a lush Central Mountain rising into the clouds. The shape of the cliff is like a sheath, and on the other side is the vast blue and endless Pacific Ocean, with white waves billowing in the sky and billows at our feet. The natural scenery you see along the way is indeed infinitely fascinating, but unfortunately the endless stream of cars around you is very dismal. From time to time, trains from the North Round Railway were seen drilling out of the cave tunnel. Green hills, clear water, earth, oceans, railways, highways, tunnels, cars, red sun, blue sky, white clouds, seagulls, many natural elements in this limited space so perfect combination, let us see the harmony between human and nature, the continuation of life and history, the harmony of life and struggle. On the way to this section of highway, there are several rest areas for Self-driving Tourists to stop and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Qingshui Cliff. The rest area has pictures and texts, telling the past and present life of Qingshui Cliff, explaining the changing process of Suhua Highway, and explaining the origin and development of the North-back Railway. To be precise, the Qingshui Cliff is a large rock cliff area connected by high mountain cliffs, which stretches 21 kilometers from Chongde to Peace through Qingshui. The cliff plunges into the Pacific Ocean at a 90 degree angle, with an altitude of more than 800 meters. It is known as the second largest cliff in the world. It is not only a rare coastal cliff wonder in the world, but also the most dangerous and magnificent representative landscape of Suhua Highway. It is also one of the eight wonders of Taiwan. Many local tourists are driving to enjoy the scenery of Qingshui Cliff point by point. Of course, it is absolutely rare for us to appreciate the beauty of Qingshui Cliff on foot with noodles and lines. After the first Chongde Tunnel and the longest Huide Tunnel, followed by Qingshui Tunnel, Jinwen Tunnel, Daqingshui Tunnel, Qing Tunnel and Renqing Tunnel, we finally arrived at the Heren Railway Station before 17:00, after nearly 12 kilometers of hiking. This is also the end of our hike.
