Cardiff Bay used to be Wales'largest port, mainly for coal transportation. Later, the harbor was abandoned and the beach became muddy. After 1980, in order to revitalize the economy, a long dam was built in the bay, which turned it into a clear-water and blue-wave bay, a scenic tourist area. There are many recreational facilities here, where tourists can choose their favorite projects.
