A very nice suburb to walk around and learn about the history of Hobart. Walking at Battery Point is like go back in time, wide collection of gorgeous historic architect, beutiful garden and lovely view of the pier at the heart of Hobart. Highly recommend to visit Battery Point while visiting Hobart!

Great historical site

This hilltop suburb of Hobart dates from the beginning days of colonial Australia in the early 19th century, and boasts a lovely collection of beautifully-preserved heritage buildings. It's a nice, quiet place for a wander, with a host of cool cafes, restaurants and shops.
