I recently stayed at the Radisson Blu, Mercer Street, which is at the centre of the Seven Dials area of London. The area is well cared for and is full of vibrant individual shops and restaurants. The Seven Dials almost has an independent, village-like atmosphere to it, yet is situated close to Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square and lots of other tourist areas, all within walking distance.

Stayed in a hotel here. Great location for walking around the west end. Covent Garden, Tottenham Court Roas and Leicester Square tubes nearby.

Was having a nice drink with a friend here last night before we were very sternly told we had to get out as they were closing - wouldn't mind but it was only 10.30

Very expensive - bought a round of three drinks (two G&Ts and a glass of house white) came to an eye-watering £16. Service at the bar was slow and they repeatedly forgot what I ordered. Avoid at all costs - there are MUCH cheaper pubs in Central London
