The Hakka Museum of China, located at the northern end of the Dongshan Bridge in Meicheng, was built in 2005 and opened to the outside world in April 2008. The Museum covers an area of about 170.3 Mu and has a construction area of 37,000 square meters. It consists of the Hakka Museum and its branches, Huang Zunxian Memorial Hall, the President's Hall of the University, the General Hall, the Overseas Chinese Hall, the Hakka Plaque Hall, the Meizhou Celebrity and Integrity Hall, the Exhibition Center and the Hakka Cultural Expo Magazine. In April 2009, it was approved by the General Office of the State Council as the Hakka Museum of China. The museum is now a patriotic education base in Meizhou, a united front base in Guangdong and a teaching and practice base in South China Agricultural University. It is the only way to understand Hakka, and an important platform for Hakka to seek roots and seek ancestors and cultural exchanges. It's a little pity that it's not open at ordinary times. It's usually open during the Spring Festival, so it can only be seen from the outside. It is worth mentioning that the water lily pond is in full bloom.
