Review for NYX Esperia Palace Athens – Luxurious Stay with a Few Caveats We stayed at NYX Esperia Palace Athens for four full days – two couples, each in an Executive Suite with access to the business lounge. The welcome was warm and efficient, and we received our rooms exactly at 3:00 PM, as per hotel policy. The suites were clean, stylish, and well-equipped with amenities such as disposable toothbrushes, shaving kits, loofahs, a hairdryer, and more. One of our suites, located on the 7th floor, even had a partial view of the Acropolis, which was a lovely bonus. The room’s climate, lighting, and curtains were all operated through digital controls, designed to pamper guests — although, in practice, they were not very intuitive and required a bit of trial and error. For instance, turning off the bedside light required getting up and walking to a control panel. The TV included Israeli channels (11, 12, and 13), which we appreciated. Breakfast on the 10th floor was excellent, offering a wide variety of high-quality options, and the waiter service was above average. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional care provided by Ilia, the hotel's Public Relations Manager. She guided us almost from the moment we arrived until we left — recommending excellent tavernas, booking taxis, restaurants, and arranging a private guided tour. On our last day, we were also warmly greeted by Dionysia in the lounge — charming and attentive. That said, there were some drawbacks: Reception service was inconsistent – not all staff members were welcoming; some appeared cold or offered forced smiles. The business lounge was disappointing – small, crowded, with modest food and drink offerings and uninspiring seating. It felt more like a repurposed room than a proper lounge. The pools require advance reservation, with no room for spontaneity. Usage hours are segmented (e.g., 1–4 PM or 4–7 PM), and spots after 7 PM are very limited. The rooftop pool area is crowded, and the adjacent restaurant is also open to non-guests. Rooftop restaurant experience: One evening we returned from a night out and hoped to enjoy a drink with a view. Although two front-row tables overlooking the Acropolis were available, we were initially told they were reserved. Minutes later, we were informed we could sit there for a €25 minimum spend per person. The sudden shift from ”reserved” to ”available for a price” was off-putting — especially as hotel guests staying in suites. The guided tour recommended by the hotel involved nearly 4 hours of driving during a 5-hour trip, leaving us with very little time at each stop. We suggest skipping it. Bottom line: The hotel is modern, very clean, and the suites are luxurious. Service is mostly excellent, particularly thanks to Ilia and Dionysia. However, don't count on spontaneous access to the pool or rooftop restaurant — enjoying those requires planning ahead, much like booking a theater show. If you value well-designed suites and structured experiences, this hotel may be a great fit. If you’re looking for flexibility and full-day pampering from hotel facilities — you might find it a bit limiting.

This place is quite unusual. My room was upgraded so that I had a suite over two floors, with a small private pool on another lower level. Absolutely every convenience had been considered, some extras might verge on overkill (bog roll tied up with a ribbon for example). The room looked amazing on first inspection, but I quite quickly realised the smell of the pool was so strong it stung my eyes, and the sound of the ventilation unit was quite a roar. There was only one small openable window on the mezzanine level next to the bed and I had to sleep with that open as wide as possible. Bed was extremely comfortable, I had to turn off the pool ventilator unit in the middle of the night because it kept waking me up, but once I had done that and the smell of baking bread entered the room from a bakery down the road I slept like a log. Staff were really nice and friendly, but they are working with quite difficult circumstances and perhaps unnecessarily. The kitchen is on the bottom floor and breakfast is served on the 5th floor roof (from which you can see the Parthenon) breakfast is a little awkward as you get a huge wicker basket 🧺 full of food plus crepes, plus omelette, plus tuna sandwich, a whole baguette (some more little ribbons), and I am not sure anyone can eat as much as is provided, and the server had to keep travelling up and down in the one person elevator. Probably would be better to ask guests what they would like to have for breakfast out of the options available and have a coffee/tea station upstairs. There is the option to take lunch in your room - for which the picnic basket concept makes a lot more sense. Seems like there should be a way to make the place feel more efficient and common sensible. I did get the feeling that they might have only just opened and are finding their feet, so I hope this review will be useful - certainly was a generous accommodation and staff are working very hard to make sure guests have the best possible experience.

TV를 끄는 방법을 찾을 수 없었습니다. 우리는 가벼운 잠자는 사람이기 때문에 다른 사람들을 방해하지 않을 수 있는 빛이 우리를 조금 방해했지만 TV 위에 검은 테이프를 넣었지만 에어컨까지 높이 올라갈 수 없었습니다. 5. 우리가 체육관을 사용하거나 아침 식사를 할 시간이 없었던 것이 유감입니다. 또 다른 후회이지만 프론트 데스크 Evi는 우리가 가져갈 아침 식사 가방을 준비하는 데 도움을주었습니다. 우리와 같이 일찍 체크 아웃하는 경우 아침 식사 가방을 가져 가도록 요청하십시오. 그러나 아침 식사 가방의 음식은 호텔에서 아침 식사를하는 것만큼 좋지 않습니다. 7.5/10 Location: Outside of “central” Athens but easily connected by metro & buses. Kifisia is gorgeous, safe, filled with high end boutiques, restaurants + cafes. Room/Ambience: Hotel itself is stunning + very relaxing vibe. Decor details incredible as expected of a boutique hotel of this nature.  Food: Very good selection of hot + cold, plus actual barista coffee. Do not expect American style breakfast - this is Europe after all. We did not eat lunch or dinner but the menus looked great and was filled with locals in the evening. Service: Although reception staff were sufficiently friendly, service very lacking for a high end boutique hotel. It was 26 degrees celsius every day while in Athens. Not prior to our stay, nor during check-in did anyone advise us that the pool was closed likely until end of May. This is not advertised on any booking platform, or on the hotel website, which was very disappointing. We sat in the pool lounge chairs for over two hours (staff saw us as the restaurant is immediately adjacent). Nobody offered us pool towels to lie on, or if we wanted to order any drinks or food. My partner had to get dressed, go to reception and ask. They didn’t even offer to clean the pool given the hot weather made it ready for use. It really put a downer on our stay, and why we opted not to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. Similar experience at breakfast; nobody offered us coffee orders, we heard someone else order and realised it was available.

전반적으로 이 호텔은 나쁘지 않았어요. 서비스도 좋았고, 방도 괜찮았지만, 한 가지 주의해야 할 점이 있다고 생각해요. 아기와 함께 여행을 가서 목욕시키고 재우려고 특별히 추가 요금을 내고 더블 침대와 욕조가 있는 방을 예약했어요. 그런데 현장에서 체크인할 때 일반 스탠다드룸을 주더라고요. 공간도 매우 좁고, 싱글 침대 두 개에 샤워 시설만 있고 욕조는 없었어요. 호텔 프런트에 이야기하니, 국내에서 예약한 경우 해외에서는 예약한 방을 보장하지 않고 자기들이 알아서 배정한다고 하더군요. 제가 씨트립(携程) 예약 내역을 보여주니까 그제야 제가 예약했던 타입의 방으로 바꿔주었어요. 좀 무시당하는 기분이었어요. 체크인할 때 120유로를 선결제했는데, 체크아웃할 때 바로 취소해주지 않고, 귀국 후 10~15일 기다리면 환불될 거라고 하더라고요. 만약 환불이 안 되면 양쪽 나라에서 또 연락해야 하잖아요. 화장실에는 이상한 장비가 있었는데, 변기 외에 이 시설이 뭘 하는 건지 잘 모르겠어요.

정말 환상적인 선택이었어요! Charming Breeze 덕분에 산토리니 여행이 완벽했어요. 조용한 마을 이아에 위치한 호텔은 위치가 정말 좋고, 객실도 깨끗하고 정돈되어 있으며, 조식도 훌륭했어요. 에게 해가 내려다보이는 발코니에서 아침 식사를 했는데, 정말 환상적이었어요! 침대도 아주 편안했어요. 이렇게 긴 여행 후 꿀잠을 자본 게 처음이었어요. 직원들은 정말 친절했고, 특히 매니저는 따뜻하게 맞아주셨고 응답도 빨랐어요. 도착하자마자 길가에서 저희를 만나 짐을 들어주셨는데, 정말 세심하게 배려해 주셨어요. 저희는 중국인이라 WhatsApp을 다운로드할 수 없어서 이메일로 연락해야 했는데, 매니저는 정말 신속하게 응답해 주셨고 늦은 밤까지도 이메일에 답장해 주셨어요. 진심을 담아 책임감 있게 서비스를 제공해 주셔서 정말 최고였어요. 이 호텔은 가격 대비 정말 훌륭한 가치를 제공하며, 강력 추천합니다! 패밀리 스위트의 발코니는 정말 최고였어요.

방은 아주 좋았어요. 시내에서 조금 떨어져 있긴 하지만, 대중교통으로 관광지에 갈 수 있었어요. 그리고 옥상에 수영장 옆에 전망대가 있는데, 경치가 정말 좋으니 꼭 한번 가보세요.

불행히도이 호텔은 완전한 악몽이었습니다. 심각한 눈 감염으로 도착했고 직원의 이해나 도움도받지 못했습니다. 아무도 내가 병원에 가는 것을 도왔습니다. 그런 다음 나는 시끄러운 끔찍한 방과 열 수 있는 창문이 없었습니다. 다음날 매니저에게 불평하는 동안 나는 직원들에게 소리를 지르는 거짓말을 더 나쁘게 대우받았습니다. 사실이 아닙니다. 나는 더 나은 방이나 더 나은 서비스를 요구하는 고통에 있었습니다. 아, 또한 그들은 안전을 주장하는 매우 비싼 차를 주차 공간을 추천하여 내 차 열쇠를 남겨 두었습니다. 나는 나의 완전한 수하물이 여전히 차 안에 있기 때문에 이것이 정말로 안전한지 두 번 물었다. 짐을 꺼내러 갔을 때 차가 열려 있었다!!! 내부에 열쇠가 있습니다. 아테네 한가운데에 이 주차 팀에서도 아무도 없습니다. 너무 많은 수준에서 완전한 실패처럼. 난방 시스템은 항상 방에서 큰 소음을 내고 아래층 수영장에는 밤새도록 소리를 내는 미친 기계가 있습니다. 조용하고 훌륭한 서비스를 제공하는 모퉁이를 돌면 또 다른 아름다운 호텔을 발견하게 되어 너무 기쁩니다!!!! 거기에 머물지 마십시오. 좋지 않습니다. 수영장 지역조차도 농담이며 겨울에는 옥상에 자쿠지가 없습니다. 방문할 가치가 없습니다!
