I was looking for a room with privacy, a king size bed and a balcony. I had many options in mind but this hotel stood out for being beautiful and located in the middle of the nature. I called many times before booking the room to understand if the rooms with balcony were facing the swimming pool because some pictures showned rooms with balcony facing the pool in the ground floor, and I didn't want that because I'd loose the privacy. On the first call they told me that all the rooms were facing the mountains and that they had no rooms facing the swimming pool which left me confused. So I called 2 more times to be sure and on the third call the woman even joked about it because I was being so insisting about this issue and guaranteed me that I wouldn't be facing the pool, so I booked the ”Fine Art Duplo New Deluxe w/ balcony” room. When I arrived the Hotel I was very disappointed because my room was in the ground floor facing one of the sides of the swimming pool, the one closer to the bar. That means I had constantly more than 15 people which could see everything inside my room if I didn't close the blackout curtain. It also means that the employee which answered my phone calls deliberately lied to me in order to get the sale done, and it wasn't a misunderstanding since I'm a native Portuguese and we spoke the same language on 3 different phone calls in the same day. I went to the reception to demand for another room and get an explanation for this situation to what they simply appologized and said that it must have been a misunderstanding because all the ”Fine Art Duplo New Deluxe w/ balcony” rooms were in the ground floor facing the swimming pool so I would have the same problem in all of them. Then I asked for a room with no balcony, with privacy and a king size bed and they gave me a far inferior room in the first floor, where some people in the pool could also see inside the room, which had a horrible noise everytime the electricity was turned on, to the point where we had to turn the electricity off in order to sleep and because of that we couldn't even charge our cellphones and laptops. Beyond this, it also sounded pretty dangerous, I doubt it would pass any kind of inspection. Regarding this issue, we call the employees and neither they had an electrician nor they were able to call one. Because I paid 21€ more to get a room with balcony which I didn't get, because an employee lied deliberately to get another client and also because they gave us a room with mediocre staying and safety conditions I asked for a partial or total refund, which was entirely dennied. The Hotel as an amazing swimming pool and location, with trekking paths and birdwatching places nearby, an amazing river, a beautiful design, an ok breakfast (it wasn't good but it's not bad also), but I don't recommend at all because the service is very very poor, it was the worst experience I ever had in a hotel. It was a waste of money, vacations, time and patience.

Bien ubicado hay sitio para aparcar gratiutamente. Habitación amplia y bien equipada. Es todo nuevo. Hay café , infusiones, agua gratis en la planta baja 24h. Microondas y mesas para poder comer lo que tu llevas. Todo un acierto. Aceptan animales llevamos un perro pequeño se paga suplemento, eso si no me dieron ni cama ni bebedero.

훌륭한 숙박 시설, 친절한 서비스, 아침, 점심, 저녁 식사를 위한 기본 뷔페. 매우 새롭던 내 렌트카에서 GPS는 Lovelhe, Inatel Road 또는 Inatel에 의해 위치하지 않아 거기에 도착하는 데 약간의 어려움이 있었습니다.

we had a very good experience here. we were 10 Ebikers on the way from Porto to Santiago de Compostela. This was the end of a long day. Very pretty location. I don't know why other's had bad experiences. Desk staff was good. They weren't the ritz, but they were helpful. Very helpful explanation how to store our Ebikes. Spa services that 2 of our group used and were very good. Huge pool. We did not avail ourselves of bar or restaurant; we walked into town. Room had a balcony and was very clean and well appointed.

My wife and I stayed in the Luna Arcos Hotel in Arcos de Valdevez for one night during a holiday in Portugal. The hotel is modern and quite large with free parking outside. It is a short walk across the river to the city. Our room was clean and comfortable with a great view of the river and town. Our package included a good dinner, where the service was excellent. We also enjoyed a good breakfast from the large buffet.

Surprisingly great experience. The reception staff was wonderful and went beyond the call to help us when my husband got sick. True, the hotel is not located in a beautiful area, and didn't look like much from the outside - but WOW when you entered the expansive lobby you have a beautiful view of the sea. We are seniors, driving on our own, so were looking for a hotel that didn't involve negotiating the city streets, served breakfast and had free parking on site. It was raining hard when we arrived, so were pleased to know there is a restaurant there as well. It was a 4e Uber ride into the charming town center. Viana do Castelo is lovely. The hotel specializes in large groups (there were several well behaved young futbol teams there during our stay). The breakfast buffet was plentiful and diverse. We had a sea view room, with a balcony and two lounge chairs....if only the weather had been better!

I stayed at Tempus Hotel for 3 nights. Things I liked the most about my stay are the following: 1. The location and the views (even though it’s quite far from Gerês national park) 2. Very fast and smooth check in 3. The balcony and the view 4. The patio (by the restaurant) 5. The dinner at the restaurant The room was decent & spacious, a bit worn out, but overall comfortable. The pool isn’t big, and it produced some noises in the filtering section. There are a few things that could be improved: 1. The breakfast was very limited, and it was not replenished unless requested. I would not recommend adding breakfast to the stay. 2. We picked this hotel hoping to enjoy some spa treatments. We even mentioned that prior to booking. Once we arrived we booked 2 massages, and only some time later they told us the masseuse was on holidays. It was very disappointing. 3. Overall service at the hotel isn’t really smooth. It felt that the hotel is in need of proper management. 4. The sauna could not get hot enough due to poor insulation. For my next visits, I would consider other places to stay.

We stayed here over the weekend of L’Etape Portugal 2023 as we were riding in the event. It was the perfect base and we loved everything about the hotel. All of the staff made us feel so welcome and were so friendly. Particular mention must go to the Bike Center team, who accommodated all of our requirements for the race with the bike rentals, set-up and details. Nothing was a problem! This a wonderful place to stay to enjoy the beach, sports, weather and also to easily explore Viana do Castelo. We will be back!

My partner and I recently enjoyed a delightful 3-night stay at Hotel Axis in Viana do Castelo. Hotel muito bem decorado e confortável. Escondido no centro de Viana do Castelo uma pequena surpresa, um hotel 4 estrelas de aspeto exterior industrial num prédio aparentemente pequeno, mas dividido por 2 partes e muito bem decorado internamente. Quartos de boa qualidade e casas de banho muito amplas e ao nível de um hotel de 5 estrelas. Decoração interior com características de prédio antigo, mas muito bem renovado e recuperado. Tv do quarto ampla. Não há máquina de café no quarto e o black out da janela de madeira não tapa completamente a luz. A sala de pequeno almoço é agradável, mas a qualidade da refeição, talvez por ainda corresponder a época baixa e a ocupação do hotel não parecia elevada, havia falta de vários produtos. Ainda assim, não é difícil de melhorar. Vale a pena passar a oferecer ovos mexidos e/ou outros quentes, mais ofertas de sumos incluindo sumo de laranja natural. Ausência de estacionamento próprio também é uma desvantagem mas existem várias opções nas proximidades incluindo parque público subterrâneo mesmo em frente ao hotel e que funciona 24h. Caminhando um pouco é possível estacionar de forma gratuita. A qualidade/preço do hotel é muito ajustada ao que é disponibilizado, equivalendo em vários aspetos de qualidade e conforto do quarto o que oferece o Axis Viana Hotel mas a um custo inferior.

Un hotel familiar perfecto para disfrutar de Viana do Castelo. Toda una experiencia sensorial. Preciosa habitación decorada hasta el mínimo detalle, ambientada y perfumada con olor a chocolate. Dividida en dos estancias,perfecta para familias. Detalle de bienvenida y amenidades de baño incluidas. Personal muy agradable. El desayuno exquisito servido con mucho gusto, delicioso y muy abundante y variado. Curiosa visita a la fábrica de chocolate incluida, muy didáctica para los niños. Muy recomendable.

Clearly the hotel has been recently renovated. Facilities are nice, simple, modern design. We stayed in a family room with bunks above the main bed which the kids loved. The pool is large with a beautiful lawn/lounger area next to the bar. The location is walking distance to the old town with a view over the bridge. Yes it is beside a fairly busy road but we didn't find it's problem. There is a limited amount of free parking in front of the hotel. Breakfast was a very nice buffet on the sixth floor. Service was friendly and welcoming. For the price we paid very good value. I don't understand why this is only a three Star hotel, presumably the lack of a restaurant. Definitely recommended.

This was a nice little boutique hotel right near the historic center. We were always greeted with a smile and treated kindly. I shared a room with my son and the twin beds were more than adequate. Bathroom is on the small side but it was fine for our needs. The hotel is a little older but the elevator worked great and the entire property was well kept and clean. My only caveat was there there was no outdoor seating area, you have to wear a swim cap and water shoes for the pool and the pool was indoors in a very hot room. The continental style breakfast buffet was good and provided lots of variety. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!
