The apartment consists of a well equipped kitchen-living room, a quiet double bedroom and bathroom with a large separate shower. It is the top floor of a Victorian villa and is fully self contained. The helpful and friendly owners occupy the lower floors. There is free wi-fi available with this appartment.Unusually for Brixham, a single, free off road parking space is available with this property.This apartment is ideal for couples looking for a special place with a wonderful sea view to enjoy.The Rockberry Apartment is a top floor flat of a Victorian villa. It is fully self contained and has it's own entrance via a 6 meter external spiral staircase. Brixham is a picturesque fishing town set in an outstanding coastline. The town has a number of good restaurants within walking distance of the apartment. Dartmouth, Torquay, Totnes, the River Dart, the South Hams and Dartmoor are all easily accessible.Rockberry is situated on the Shoalstone side of Brixham, a short walk past the harbour and marina from the centre of town. The Shoalstone sea water swimming pool is approximately 200 meters away. Breakwater Beach (swimming and scuba diving) is a couple of minutes walk away. Shoalstone beach (scuba and snorkelling) and Brixham Marina are also within a few minutes walk. Berry Head Country Park, a site of special scientific interest, with lovely walks and more fabulous views is a 10 minute walk away.Brixham is an ideal location from which to enjoy an active holiday. Fishing, diving, swimming, sailling and boat charters, golf, and great walks are all easily available. There are a number local regattas throughout the summer season. In addition there is the Brixham Heritage week, the Steam Fair and other local shows and fesitvals. Seabird Cottage is a charming, traditional Cottage situated in the delightful fishing port of Brixham, It is a great 'bolthole' escape to get away from it all.An authentic fisherman's cottage, it has been modernised to ensure comfort and convenience whilst retaining many traditional features including exposed beams believed to be reclaimed ships timbers and masts.Enter from the street into a cosy sitting room, with multi-fuel wood burner (in additional to full central heating) through to a fully fitted kitchenmade bright and airy by roof windows above. For those who like to cook you will find what you need to try out some new recipes having sourced the ingredients from the deli, butchers and grocers as well as well stocked supermarkets just across the road.For those who don't want to cook, there are many great restaurants just as close and a very nice pub in our street!The bathroom, also on this level, consists of large shower, wash hand basin and toilet.Access to the furnished raised terrace garden outside, is through the rear door and up some steps. In summer, the sun is there most of the day so it is ideal to start with a coffee or to enjoy a glass of wine after a day of exploring South Devon.There are two good sized bedrooms accessed by the winding traditional 'Brixham' staircase, a double bed to the front and two singles in the rear bedroom overlooking the terrace garden.Seabird Cottage is the perfect place to base your holiday to enjoy the delights of South Devon, with seaside walks, sailing, fishing and boat trips, or travel by steam train along the beautiful South Devon coast. Apart from deepest winter the very reasonably priced ferry service goes to the heart of Torquay, Paignton, Totnes and Dartmouth so no traffic or car parking hassle even in the height of summer !If you prefer, you can relax in the town's pubs (one of the best is in our street but has never disturbed us) There are many great restaurants especially if you like fish. You can have a coffee or a cream tea and browse round the shops. Explore the winding streets and numerous 'steps' linking the streets and areas of the old fishing village.. The walks along the coast both towards Berry Head and towards Broad sands along the South Devon Coastal Path (Blackbeard's Trail) are not to be missed. Literally 3 minutes away is the harbour and main high street. After a full refurbishment Quayside is being offered as a holiday cottage for the first time from the end of May 2021, it is ideally situated within a stones throw to the harbour, Golden Hind and local Restaurant’s.The property benefits from three bedrooms, master bedroom with sea glimpses, 2 king & 1 twin bedroom all with smart televisions, two en-suites, and a family bathroom, Open plan lounge diner, kitchen and enclosed level rear garden.Please note the top bedroom has a steeper than normal staircase and slightly narrower than modern standards and could be unsuitable for some young children or the elderly.Very few houses in the harbour area have their own parking but the fantastic location of the house more than makes up for the parking.
