A great hotel in a good location for visitors to Sheffield. The advantage of staying slightly out of the city centre for free parking and a peaceful location. The rooms are clean, spacious and quiet in lovely grounds. We had 4 rooms with our party which were booked at a reasonable price and 2 were upgraded on arrival which was a bonus. The staff were friendly and welcoming especially the lady on reception. Would happily stay here again

DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield City was exactly what I needed during my business trip. Comfortable, reliable, and quietly kind. From the moment I arrived, the check-in was smooth and welcoming, and that first warm cookie felt like a small but genuine gesture of care after a long journey. The location is convenient, close to the city centre yet peaceful enough to rest. It made moving between meetings and personal time easy, something I truly appreciated. The room was modern, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable, the lighting soft, and everything worked perfectly. It was not about luxury, but about thoughtful comfort that helps you recharge. Breakfast offered a good variety and the restaurant had a calm atmosphere that made mornings feel easy. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help without being intrusive. What stood out the most was the consistency. Every part of the stay felt dependable and well cared for. That sense of steadiness made it easy to relax and focus on the purpose of the trip. 출장으로 셰필드에 방문할 때마다 몇 주에 한 번꼴로 요나스에 머무르고 있습니다. 시설이 고급스럽거나 방이 넓지는 않지만, 객실은 깨끗하고 위치는 정말 좋습니다. 대학과 병원에서 가깝거든요. 외부 소음은 다소 편차가 있는 편입니다. 학생 기숙사 건물 내에 있다 보니 간혹 시끄러울 때도 있더군요. 하지만 주방 시설을 이용할 수 있다는 점은 큰 장점이었고, 직원분들도 아주 친절하셨습니다.

I check the reviews before deciding to stay here. It’s a budget hotel, but parking is easy ( additional cost)  and there’s an EV charger available, which was very convenient. It’s only a 10 mins walk to the cinema and there’s are plenty restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Nice and clean big room for a couple. In particular, I found the bedsheets, toilet and carpet nice and clean. Good central location. It was also the first time in my many travels I found a heated towel rail in the shower room/toilet that actually worked, meaning for the days we stayed there our towels stayed dry. Lots of parking spaces at the front and back of the building at £9 per day. I also quite liked the traditional building style, including stairs inside - definitely different from many cheap modern hotel buildings relying on cheap lifts. Finally, the receptionists at the reception were all excellent - professional and friendly and very helpful in meeting our needs, such as providing extra tea bags and milk and information on walking around the area. Happy to recommend and stay there again.

Quiet and well connected location. Good views from the bedroom overlooking the well tendered fields of the nearby facility. Easy access to nearby major motorways. Adequate free parking (need to self-register at check-in). Tired decor but fairly maintained in most part. Safe provided for your valuables. Old style flat screen TV. Shower over bath provides good experience. Massive comfortable bed supporting good sleep experience every night. Bedroom access card was a huge problem at check-in and in-between my stay - I had to return back to reception three times as the card didn't work at check-in! Ended up insisting that the staff seek help as I was not ready to keep doing the same thing and expect a different result. I got back another evening and card had stopped working again but staff at reception this time was quite responsive - after one unsuccessful attempt to reactivate the card he immediately went up with me to use a staff card to allow me access back to my bedroom with plan for resolving the card issue thereafter. I am appreciative of his reassuring approach.

I wouldn't consider this a good stay, as I encountered several issues. First, the check-in process was a hassle since this hotel doesn't have a front desk. I spent hours calling the hotel, facing either ”Line busy” or no response after a long wait. If it wasn’t for Trip.com's customer service finally connecting with the hotel, I wouldn’t have known what to do. Second, the wooden door in my room was difficult to close; it required a hard push and made a loud ”bang.” The glass sliding door of the shower room was also problematic, it fell out on my first pull, and I'm certainly not strong enough to break a door with just one pull. Lastly, and most frustratingly, was the toilet paper situation. It was my first time encountering a toilet without a single roll of paper. I can't imagine what I would be if I hadn't brought my own in my bag that day. On a positive note, the room was well-equipped with a fridge, oven, heater, toaster, and even an iron, which suggests the hotel might have been quite good when the things are all good a few years ago, but not now.

From check in to check.out served by warm, friendly professional staff, a pleasure to stay in this old hotel. Special thanks to Miranda and Carol, the housekeeping ladies for providing us with a spotlessly clean and comfortable room. Plenty of hot water, big clean towels, good size tv and were very generous replenishing our tea and coffee supplies. Enjoyed a good IPA beer on the first evening and loved listening to the live singing, 70's throwback by the excellent female singer. Would stay here again should we need to book a hotel on our next visit to Rotherham.
