'Room was full of dust, bathroom had mold on the grouting, air contioning/ heating was broke, shower gel and shampoo watered down to almost just water, had a function on but sounded like the party was In our room even though it was 2 floors down, neighbouring room could hear them talking and getting intimate. Room was tin pot small and freezing cold...was so disappointed as stayed there previously for a lot less than i paid this time and the room was spacious and clean, so feeling extremely let down this time and hubby has refused to ever come back to this hotel.'

'We were surprised how nice the hotel is for the price we paid. I went with an old friend for a mid-week city break in Sheffield. The hotel is pretty close to theb train station and we walked there easily with our wheeled suitcases. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful The bathroom had a bath and a shower; the bedroom itself was a decent size. I don't think the electronic safe was working correctly, or maybe it was used error, not sure about that, lol. There was a fridge in the room which was great and unexpected; the wi-fi was also excellent. The staff were friendly, and we could get more coffee, tea and milk from reception. We didn't go to the gym or spa, we did go swimming and it's a lovely, big, well heated pool. There were also two steam rooms, a sauna, an ice room and a discovery shower (a hot or cold shower with four sprays and red and blue lights). There wasn't a machine to spin the swimwear in, but there were polythene bags for wet swimwear. A lovely touch in the gym reception was a coffee machine, where you could sit down and have a free cappucino or whatever your fancy is. We got the train to Meadowhall which took 5 mins and cost £2.90 return (with our senior rail cards). Some locals said the tram was even easier, but we found the train easy enough and very fast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a city break in Sheffield.'

'The reception staff were very welcoming, the bed was quite comfortable, and the location was good—supermarket within a few minutes' walk. The less satisfying aspects were that the room windows couldn't be opened, and the hotel's cleaning service was practically non-existent. I mentioned to the front desk several mornings that I wanted the room cleaned and even hung the ”please clean” sign on the doorknob, yet the room wasn't cleaned each day. It's unbelievable that a chain hotel has such poor cleaning standards.'

'This isn't my first stay at this hotel, but unfortunately, the customer service hasn't improved. Even ordering a simple drink from the bar was met with a frown. I stay here only because it's convenient for my business needs, but it's disappointing that the staff seems so disengaged, which leaves a negative impression. The breakfast was dry and unappetizing, almost like eating rocks. Given the standards of Ibis hotels, I'm quite shocked at the poor condition and service here.'

'Das Hotel ist nicht wie ein übliches Ibis Hotel. Die Zimmer und Badezimmer mit großer Dusche sind geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Obwohl das Hotel in den acht Tagen ausgebucht war waren keinerlei Geräusche aus den Nachbarzimmern zu hören. Es ist zudem an einer ruhigen Straße gelegen. Die Lage zum Bahnhof, zur Innenstadt und zur Tramstation ist hervorragend. Das typisch englische Frühstück ist prima, das Buffet wird stets schnell aufgefüllt. Das Personal ist mäßig freundlich und sehr bemüht. Ich kann dieses Hotel wirklich empfehlen, auch wegen der absolut guten Preissituation.'

'The receptionists were lovely, very friendly & helpful. The room was a good size & the bed was really comfortable. There was only one bath & hand towel but an extra set was brought up straight away. The only negatives for me was the window was a solid pane so didn't open but the air con wasn't cool enough, and the pillows were uncomfortable.'

'호텔 시설이 정말 형편없었어요. 아주 오래전에 리모델링한 티가 너무 나더라고요. 2박을 예약했는데 첫날 밤에 벽걸이 헤어드라이어가 엄청난 소리와 함께 폭발하면서 타는 냄새가 진동했어요. 호텔이 만실이라 방을 옮길 수도 없어서 그 타는 냄새를 맡으면서 자야 했죠. 둘째 날에는 온수가 안 나와서 미지근한 물밖에 안 나왔어요. 야간 근무 직원들이 고쳐보려고 했지만 결국 실패했죠. 정말 최악의 경험이었어요. 방도 엄청 낡았는데, 1970년대 방이라고 생각하시면 될 것 같아요. 다만, 직원들은 친절했고 특히 야간 근무 직원들은 적극적으로 도와줘서 고마웠어요. 위치는 좋았어요.'
