"We had an executive room which was lovely, very spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. Breakfast good, I wish we had seen that they do have a menu for additional breakfast dishes. Sunday was busy, very disappointed that they ran out of mugs, so we had to use paper cups!!!! Not acceptable! No offer to get any clean mugs. Member of party wanted a decaf latte coffee, was told sachets were available-which were awful. When she ordered a decaf latte from waitress she was charged. Hotel was very clean and staff nice. Additional £30 per adult/day for breakfast is excessive, additional charge also for spa make this hotel very expensive and not good value. I doubt we will return to ‘add ons’"

"One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in and 100% the worst Premier Inn. Not only were the staff rude, unhelpful and blunt, but everything was unclean. There was a Greggs wrapper under the bed when neither me nor the other guest had even been there. The toilets were all disgusting in the bar and food area. They knew we were all there as a huge booking for a family wedding and they were unbelievably rude. Thank god we only stayed one night and moved to a much better venue, but do yourself a favour and don’t even go at all."

"Excellent stay The Talbot had everything we could ask for. A lovely setting, good footpaths for walking dogs, good sized beer garden by the river. Room clean and comfortable. Excellent food. Superb breakfast. All the staff were friendly, helpful really lovely. We look forward to staying again next year. Definitely try their own bread delicious. Their fresh raspberries from their garden were superb also as well as their own marmalade, Top class stay. Good sized room."

"Booked here for a family wedding nearby for us and Mum in law 80+ , set in a beautiful location on the river . Very warm friendly welcome in a old pub with 6 bedrooms and restaurant and fantastic front on riverside. Can't fault it ,cosy ,lovely clean rooms ,great helpful staff food available in bar ,great choice and some night live music .the three of us ordered full English next morning and Wow ..it was full ,great quality bacon ,sausage, black pudding etc Mum was gobsmacked at the size of it and was excellent. Thankyou for the wonderful service and helpful information guys . The town is full of quirky independent shops and a lot of pubs/restaurant to visit . Well worth a visit . Thankyou guys well be back "
