Atlantis Beach House

Susan was very helpful at our arrival and with responding to questions throughout our trip. There's been recent construction on a beach club that has changed the view of the ocean from the advertising in the pictures. Less open ocean and rock and more palm trees, still pretty and tropical. Swimming in the ocean at this property was not something we did during our trip as the ocean was very choppy and turbulent from the weather. You absolutely need to rent a car if staying at this location if you want to go beyond Mambo beach. I would advise this property is best for adults rather than children unless you upgrade to the VIP balcony suites or the Villas. You have to communicate with them in advance that you will need twin beds instead of King size. The villas are at a different location. Make sure to carefully review the description of what is included in the room type you are reserving. The pictures are a mix of all the properties: standard room, balcony room and villa.

We stayed for four nights and truly enjoyed ourselves. We were welcomed in right away. Our apartment was clean and comfortable. There is AC in each of the bedrooms and a lovely area to lounge in front of the room. The pool is a great place to cool off in the afternoon and to chat with the other guests. Curacao, like everywhere else in the Caribbean has mosquitoes but the hotel did a great job treating the rooms so that they really weren't a problem. The bathroom had a great shower and was very clean. The kitchen had basic pots and pans but it was not easy to put together everything one needs for a dinner. This was the only reason I did not give this property five stars. For example, the room had a one fry-pan-like pan that looked more like a wok. I was able to cook eggs in it but only two at a time. The spatula and the other cooking utensils that were part of a set, are not heat resistant. There is a pretty nice supermarket two minutes from the house where we were able to do our shopping. The fast-food store next to it is very skippable. Honestly the only "meh" meal we had on Curaçao. Perhaps we just didn't know what to order. The property was wonderfully quiet except for one night when the neighboring resort (Baose) had a wedding reception. Music blared for an hour or two but stopped around 9:30, however, they also had fireworks around midnight. The rest of the time you'd never know that resort was there. One heads up...There is not an obvious sign on the premises that you have arrived. The parking lot is at the end of a dead-end street and while parking was never a problem, when we first arrived we were not sure we were in the right spot. Trust the directions, you're there. We would gladly stay here again and I recommend it to anyone who would like to make some of your meals but still be close enough to go out to dinner.

Unfortunately I didn’t have a pleasant experience at Atlantis beach house. It started great. Staff, in particular Lorry, was very kind and responsive. My stay took a turn for the worse night 1. I laid down in the bed and was awoken by bites at 1am. I soon discovered several more. I ended up barely sleeping on the uncomfortable couch. I immediately text Lorry videos and asked if we can be moved to a different apartment or a refund and I’ll find another place to lodge. Initially, she said they could switch us but once she showed up next day said there was no unit available until our LAST night but they could spray insect spray in the room all while spending time trying to convince me that I quote “It’s just ants. They are harmless the most they’ll do is bite you” I’m not sure who in their right mind will pay to knowingly lay down to sleep in a bed infested with ants or any bug! She comes with new sheets and the room is sprayed. THE BUGS CONTINUED to free roam the beds in both rooms. We ended up leaving at 2am to find another hotel just so we could get peaceful sleep and enjoy the rest of our vacation. Atlantis is refusing to refund us! We offered to pay for the 1st night or 50% of the total even after this horrible experience but they refuse. It was a nightmare. Yes in the Caribbean, it is likely to see a bug or 2 inside but having them be concentrated on the beds specifically lets you know there is a problem. I wouldn’t recommend at all.

A beautiful haven in a beautiful part of the world. We rented one side of the villas and had the pool and patio to ourselves the whole time. Super close to Mambo beach, a short drive to downtown Willemstadt and easy access to the roads out of the city and to the beautiful beaches at the other part of the island. Fell asleep and woke up to the sounds of waves and pelicans plunge-diving for their breakfast. Will absolutely return!

Overall very satisfied with this property. The pool and the snorkeling in front of property was an added bonus. The location is very central and there's a mini market within walking distance. Thank you to Jessica for taking care if our needs while there. Very fast response and great customer service. Would definitely recommend this location

Great place to stay in Curacao, we went with our kids and they really enjoy the pool and the ocean in front of the apartments. Very clean, confortable and spacious. The staff is very kind too. The parking is free and always have free spots. They also have a laundry room for the guest, with kids that is highly appreciated! :) Have a supermarket within a 3 minutes walk, but driving everything is close, 10-15 min away tops. We really enjoy our week there, would recommend it to everyone who wants to go to Curaçao.
