We visited wells and stopped here to have lunch. I very much enjoyed my food, and ate all that I could. The servers were professional and efficient. The food came quick compliments to Kitchen team. However, the green leaf used was extremely bitter! Warning. The water mugs could have used some cleaning way too much water stains.

Stayed for a short break to visit Wells, Cheddar and Glastonbury. All nearby. Steff very helpful. Lovely Delux room. Evening Meal good but some items not available. Breakfast excellent. . Well located for cathedral, town and market place. Adequate car parking although a tight entrance for larger cars. Was ch film Hot Fuzz before you come. Special mention fir receptionist Jelena who was very helpful.

Originally booked for two nights. When we eventually got a suitable room we found that the heating system failed during the night and left us freezing and with no hot water. Resultantly cancelled the second night and left for home. To be fair the breakfast was good, cannot comment on the dining room as we were unable to obtain a suitable reservation as a group was given priority. We were refunded for the night we cancelled as the receptionist admitted they had a heating and hot water problem, this had not been relayed to us until we complained whilst checking out.

The situation of this hotel was perfect for a visit to Wells and surrounding area. The car park in the middle of the hotel property could be larger and big cars will struggle to get through the narrow passage way to the carpark. Sunday evening dinner was disappointing, because the kitchen had run out of the various veg and served 2 sauteed potatoes (deep fried) instead of the usual 4 or 5 roasted potatoes. For dessert they'd run out of the vanilla ice cream. The staff handled these minor problems extremely well and gave us a 25% food bill reduction. The staff were all extremely efficient and friendly. The hotel was spotlessly clean and had a lovely atmosphere. I can't wait to stay there again!

Our third visit to the Swan, great to be back to this quirky and welcoming hotel. We had a very comfortable and spotless newly refurbished room, definitely one to ask for next time! Staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel is in a great location, we wished we’d booked for more than three nights, but will be back!

Fantastic Deluxe room with comfortable bed and fluffy pillows. A sitting room and lovely large bathroom with lovely toiletries. We loved the little extras including fluffy dressing gown, slippers and well stocked tray with tea , coffee pods and locally made flap jack. The staff were very friendly and efficient especially the lovely lady on reception. Hope to come again.

We stayed for two nights whilst we were house hunting in the area. The hotel's location is fabulous being just a short walk from the Cathedral. The housekeeping and restaurant staff were also lovely and very helpful. The bar staff could learn to smile a little more but they were efficient and polite. Unfortunately the building is looking a little tired. We were in room 53 which overlooked a very pleasant looking outside patio area. The room, whilst was perfectly serviceable, however, there were a few points which needed attention. There was quite a bad water stain in the shower, one of the net curtains was ripped, one of the windows could not close properly which was not a bother for us but could be for other guests. The walls were a bit bashed and scuffed and generally it did look as though it could do with a refresh. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and would love to return in the future if we are in the area again.
