'This was a one-night stay whilst travelling on business so I was really only looking for a clean room with a comfy bed with a decent breakfast in the morning. This hotel delivered well on all three counts. It is also very conveniently located for the M40 with a McDonald's right next door. I booked for a very reasonable price and much preferred it to some of the Premier Inns that I've stayed in recently.'

'It's all a bit random really. Awkward to find (signage from the road is terrible). Staff are friendly but limited in what they can do, rooms vary from the fabulous to the downright tatty. Very popular with coach parties, so breakfast can be heaving (no seats, plates or knives when I tried on this stay). Good if you can get the right price for the room, but not the best example of the Mercure brand by some distance'

'Comfortable hotel with parking. Everything was great. Love the self check in system. Only note for location is slightly away from town and it’s more suitable for travellers with a car. Overall it’s a good experience. :)'

'As an individual traveler, I appreciate the hotel's proximity to my office, which is only a 10-minute walk. The hotel provides excellent amenities, including a microwave and refrigerator, which is fantastic. However, I was disappointed by the limited parking, the fact that some restaurants are closed on Tuesdays, and the non-functional sockets in my room, which prevented me from using the fridge, charging my devices, and even using the kettle. On the bright side, the staff is incredibly friendly. Vikas and a kind lady whose name I didn't catch were both very helpful in resolving the socket issue.'

'Beautiful room in old classic building. Warm and cosy. Spacious and bright. Car park super handy. Pub is lovely and food seems homemade. We loved it.'

'Originally booked in for three nights extended it to five, would have been longer but they are fully booked. Nice clean room in a good location, friendly and helpful staff, will be returning. Nice Sunday roast yesterday evening enjoyed it very much.'
