2.5 Upside is decent value, nice grounds with 2 pools and alway seemed to be chairs available and provide nice towels! Also many new grills and beach across the street with restaurants in walking distance. Downside is very dependent on the luck of your room as varies greatly. H313 is a “standard room” but very dated room (newer furniture but old original bathrooms and kitchen) that was supposedly updated!?!? Jessica at the front desk made the potential miserable room and issues go away when she saw the condition of the dishwasher (rusting inside) and upgraded us to a deluxe room, A202. Thanks Jessica for saving our vacation!!! Also, not enough parking and it so frustrating if you come home late from dinner!!!! Only silver lining was Jamie in security was alway helpful to find a temporary overnight spot but had to move come morning and wasted 20-30 minutes every time!?!? The best place for family, solo, groups etc. Perfect location . Excellent customer service. Jessica is accomodating to every need during your stay. All the girls, security, staff are friendly and proffessional. Maui Banyan has been our go place for 20 years. The happiest place . Home away from home. Free parking. Grounds are gorgeous for walking around complex. Lush gardens, lit up, pools, jaccuzi, bbq. A feeling of family here. Perfection ! The rooms are clean and cozy. Thumbs up Maui Banyan

F106 ONLY!! This is a private owned condo. Although it was clean, we were greeted with the worst mold smell imaginable. When we first opened the door to the condo, it smelled like cat pee. Later we found out that the condo must have had some sort of flood and the carpet had never been replaced. My friend who stayed in the master bedroom got really sick and was sure it was due to the mold. We had to buy cans of Febreze, baking soda and extra box fans just to make the stay tolerable. They also had little kitchen supplies and only 1 snorkel mask. The beach chairs had old moldy food stuffed in them. The condo was built and has never been updated. The TV's were from the 90's and didn't work correctly. We were very disappointed and will never stay here again.

This is our second time at the Maui Banyan. We rented a studio unit this time. The units will differ by owner, but both times we had clean and well stocked units. Location is fantastic! Pools and grounds are lovely. The only negative was the check in. Flights from Canada come in late at night, and so the process involves trying to get a hold of security by way of a phone that is next to the office. There are 2 phones on the wall. The phone for security is falling off the wall and had no dial tone. We were a bit panicked at 11:30 pm. Luckily someone saw us with all our luggage and opened the door. Aside from the first few moments, the rest of our stay was great!
