I love this location. So close to the beautiful Kamaole III beach, I walked down to the beach nearly every morning for a swim, sometimes multiple times a day. Of course, every condo here is privately owned, and they're all different. I've stayed in two different condos on two different occasions. The first was a 2 bedroom / 2 bath with an impressive view of the ocean from the front of the property. Really great. The decor was a bit outdated, but I didn't mind because it was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked, and the location was unbeatable. The second condo I stayed in was a one-bedroom with 2 baths. This one had a lovely lanai that opened out onto a lawn with lush, tropical landscaping all around. The only problem I had was that the one-bedroom units are on the ground floor, beneath the 2-bedroom units. I could hear footsteps and the murmur of voices upstairs constantly. And whoever was sleeping in the bedroom directly above me had a vibrating alarm clock on their phone that went off at around 3am and 4am on multiple mornings, and it would wake me up instantly every time. And then after it initially went off on those mornings, it would ring and vibrate again like every 30-45 minutes. Very disconcerting. I sent a very considerate, friendly note to the people upstairs, but they ignored it. So I spoke with the property management office and they tried to help to no avail. Really disappointing. I lost a lot of sleep, but the beauty and warm spirit of Maui kept me happy. However, I don't intend to stay in a downstairs one-bedroom condo here again - it's clear that there is no sound-proofing between floors. If you're sensitive to noise at all, I don't recommend booking a downstairs unit (as far as I know, all the one-bedroom units are downstairs, underneath the 2-bedroom units which are on the upper floors). The two pool areas are really nice, especially the upper pool area that has beautiful, lush, tropical landscaping.
