"It is beautifully located, with its own parking. Welcome staff. Good breakfast and evening bar in the yard of the hotel with excellent view to the sea and the city. It is a bit unusual that the room had a small window under the ceiling, but in the heat it is even good. The baggage in the room will have to be carried on the outer staircase."

"The pictures are fair, the hotel is conveniently located at the foot of the old town, and you can wander the whole place by foot. We took a double room with sea view. The room was nice and clean. Zero luxury. Beds OK. Small shower box but excellent shower. The wi-fi did not work in the master bedroom. We called the manager, and by the way he said he was going to call maintenance “tomorrow” we clearly understood he was aware for the problem, but unwilling to tackle it. Breakfast was fair, overall a good experience. Just be careful because the hotel is on the upper floor of a building so you have quite a steep staircase to go up. No parking on the premises."

"Lovely stay at this hotel situated 10-15 minutes walk from town centre and 5 to hotel’s own section of the beach. Breakfast and antipasti selection and dinner had lots of delicious choices. I would love the recipe for the walnut cake! Room was clean,, shower a little . Staff friendly and helpful. Note- need a swimhat to use the pool."

Upon entering, you perceive the atmosphere of a great tourist experience now passed down to the new generations. I traveled in a group and the management, the welcome, the catering, the beautiful swimming pool and the common free time areas made us spend a peaceful holiday. the hotel, close to the center, allows for beautiful evening walks; the beach close to the famous "Pizzomunno" is well equipped, safe and makes you enjoy the enchanting sea of ​​Puglia. A round of applause to the entertainment girls who pampered and satisfied all the participants in our group with affection and great availability, accommodating their every request. "I stayed a night with my companion, except for the (excellent) location, all the rest is to be forgotten. At the arrival we find that the room with a vasistas system (as indicated on the site) is only a small lighthouse, a few centimeters away from a rocky wall, so no light or air is in. Room with old furnishings and small bathroom with disfunctioning washroom discharge and broken shower soft. When we reported the malfunction in the reception we were told that they would have taken the day tomorrow, when we were already on the way, to complete a miserable and poor breakfast. In general, stay to be forgotten, also considering the price paid."

"This hotel is rated a 4 star hotel and at best it is a 2.5 or 3 star hotel. I decided to book this hotel direct after seeing very high reviews on it. However the website site is quite deceiving because there are 2 Hotel Forte’s in Vieste almost side by side. One is new and the other (where we stayed) is like stepping back into the 1970’s. The reception staff seemed quite helpful when we arrived with parking and directions but when asked about the town centre we were told that it is a very small town and not a lot of shops. We walked into town about 23 mins and it was amazing with lots of little lane ways and shops and restaurants. The views in the town are amazing. The walk in is long but on a slow incline. In the town there are lots of stairs but also ways around them. Back to the hotel. Parking easy just across the street in an open public car park. Two lifts in the hotel (one strictly for staff) the other for the guests which was very slow. The breakfast area was large and you were allocated a table where you had to stay for the rest of your stay at the hotel. The Breakfast offer was ok but the room and area was a little grotty. The bar was open from early in the pool area but you couldn’t get a red wine. Even after the pool bar closed and the inside bar opened you couldn’t get a bottle of wine to take back to the room only a glass. We ended up going to supermarket and buying one. We asked for 2 glasses and got plastic cheap plastic glasses. The best thing about this hotel was the balcony with sea views but trying to get have a wine on the balcony was a little difficult as there was no room service at all but there was a bar and a restaurant. I asked about the laundry service and was told there was one in town. We had breakfast at the hotel once and then went across the car park to the Beach Bar La Bussola which had great coffee and food. All in all our worst stay in Italy outside of Rome. Don’t stay there."
