Hotel Palma Real

Расположение отеля шикарное. Океан и пляж бесподобен. «Все включено» не похоже на другие туристические места в силу особенностей кубы. Большого разнообразия еды не ждите. В основном рис, курица, рыба. Понравились ананасы которые были всегда. Напитки время от времени заканчивались, но всегда можно было выбрать из двух-трех вариантов. Мух много, как и везде на Кубе. Чистоту стараются поддерживать, но все же тарелки приходилось выбирать, чтобы были почище, приборы протирали салфетками. Уборка в номере каждый день. Номер хоть и старенький, но все выглядит прилично. Недалеко от отеля есть стрит фуд, магазин(правда ассортимент не очень большой) Программа была каждый день, пиво вкусное, было на выбор несколько коктейлей, но мы их не пробовали. Дважды сходили в ресторан( можно записаться на ресепшене в 13:00, по меню кормят бесплатно). По соотношению цена-качество отличный отель. Спасибо обслуживающему персоналу за теплый прием

There are good reviews and bad reviews about this place on here... I would return to Varadero but not this hotel. It was the cheapest option and a bargain so I booked it. But you get what you pay for, this place is not perfect if you want perfection then pay more. So the good points: Brilliant location, the hotel is not on beach but less than 5 min walk away. It is next to little bars, restaurant, shops etc in a lovely little resort area. Not far from main part of varadero, you could walk or take a short taxi ride. Only about 20 to 25 mins from airport in taxi It has 2 other hotels you can use (all inclusive). I recommend booking in the restaurant at this hotel and there's other restaurants at hotels across road. The food is better than the buffet, which is not the best You get access to free activities on the beach. A short kayak ride is free and so is pedlos. There is also scuba diving and other stuff but you have to pay for this. The staff are great, most are very friendly and helpful. The entertainment is ok, not spectacular but at least they try. Different show every night but only lasts between 30 to 45 mins. There's a club you can go to but it's not free entry. They have bingo in the day and one day there was a pool party. They also do other little things in the day. The hotel is clean. Our room spotless but it is dated and needs some attention. Half of the hotel was out of use when I stayed and it looked like they were doing it up. But it's not too shabby and it is clean, pool area, reception, stairs and room The hotel is big. It has 2 pool areas, one has the swim up bar which is shallow then over the bridge is a massive pool to swim. The rooms were good size not massive. It has WiFi but not the best . Now the bad. The main problem is the food. I've been on many all inclusive and the food does get boring but here it's not much at all. With one main long table on both sides there's not much variety. They do try and I know it's cuba so some delivery issues but it's mainly rice and beans, they do a kind of salad bar with lovely fruit and veg carvings but there's flies everywhere and not enough protection to stop them goin on the food. They're have chicken and othe meat everyday but it's the same. I am not fussy with food and enjoyed most things I ate. But being vegetarian I was limited to the rice and beans, salads and pasta if it didn't have meat. The restaurant is not air conditioned hence all the flies. I advise going out to a the other restaurants you can book for free for most days that you are staying. No air con except in the rooms. The air con in the rooms is on continually which is great but in reception and restaurant, snack bar there is none. There's a little shop in the hotel which has air con so I'm not sure why it's not there anywhere else. Drinks are a bit hit and miss in terms of availability, some run out a lot but again, I understand about the delivery issues so just to give a heads up. No coffee, no coke so

This is our first time back to the Palma Real since 2019. When we came then the hotel was in rough shape but today they have made improvements. They have new mattresses and pillows that are very comfortable. They have painted the hotel and are making repairs. The pools have been fixed and are very clean. The rooms have been painted also. The food …… well it’s Cuba. You can’t be a picky person when coming to Cuba. In Canada we can get anything and everything but remember here they can not. The food is pretty much the same everyday but for us it’s ok. You can’t be eat in the resteraunts here the food is great. The Cubans are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. People say oh Cuba is bad now but actually it is not. Varadero is still amazing just no tourist which is a shame because they are missing out. Yes there are certain things you can’t get but remember they can’t get things like Canada. You have to have an open mind when coming here. The Cubans are hurting without tourists because that’s how they survive. As for Palma Real it is getting better and better and hope it continues to get better. It’s central to all the bars and party areas and short walking distant to the beach. Don’t be hating on the Cuban people because of what you hear on tv. Come and experience it. See how lucky we Canadians are. Yup the waitresses, the cook, the bartenders,your maid and the gardener as they all deserve it because they work from morning to night in the heat and the tips help feed their families. For the hotel if they read this you need to replace your mirrors in the bathrooms. Maybe if and when you can upgrade them a little.

Cockroach infestation in the restaurants. I lost a lot of weight. So many roaches running around the food and plates. So gross. And the staff didn't care. Mattress was so gross. Like it was mostly the original one from first opening. And this is NOT an over exaggeration.....
