This hotel was wonderful! Central location. Gorgeous courtyard and garden. Small Plunge pool which was clean and welcoming. We had a family suite with 2 downstairs areas with 2 double beds for our teenaged kids. The upstairs is huge with a king size bed and second bathroom.. ice cold air con. Half board was the only option but dinner was actually really good and included beer and wine! An absolute win. Breakfast was easily the best of our trip. Staff were delightful. Highly recommended

Casa Tia Micha is one of the most special places we have ever stayed. It's quirky for sure. We arrived late at night and the gated door was looked. We were in the 'superior room', where the photos on the website certainly flatter reality. One of my children described it as more like sleeping in a stable. And one of the bedrooms doesn't have curtains to block out the light. But when we woke up next day the complete charm of this small place, which is more like an extended grandparents' house rather than a hotel, completely won us over. The breakfast was simply unbelievable in every ways, making full use of local produce to be thoroughly appetising. The outdoor courtyard was an oasis of calm from the noise and dirt outside. And the restaurant for evening dinner dished up food quality every bit as good as breakfast - read the small print of your booking, as we hadn't realised that our booking included dinner as well as breakfast!

We have travelled all over the world and Casa Tia Micha is one of the best places we have ever stayed in. This place is amazing in every way. It is centrally located, just off the main square, so it is quiet. Restaurants and shops are steps away. It has a beautiful garden which provides an oasis of calm after a day of sightseeing. The rooms are very large and the beds are really comfortable. The staff are so friendly and helpful and tended to our every wish. They couldn’t have been sweeter. The place is so reasonably priced and our booking included breakfast and dinner. Our dinners even included beer and wine. We would return to Valladolid just to stay at this hotel. If you want a taste of an authentic Mexican boutique hotel, then this is your spot. Anne & Andrew, Canada

This was my second stay here. The location is great and the back courtyard setting is beautiful. Eating breakfast and dinner there is a treat. We had no option but to book half board this time. I was concerned because of prior reviews about the dinner, but we really enjoyed our evening meals. The reason for my rating of 4 is solely based on the room we were in (junior suite) and it's windows onto the street. Wednesday night was fine for sleeping, but Thursday and Friday nights we were kept awake til almost 4am due to the nearby disco. I would never stay in that room on the weekends. I really love this hotel and it’s employees, but cannot give it a 5 for that reason. I had earplugs, but the thumping noise of the music was so loud, they did no good. I expressed this to the owner on our departure, she said there are double pained windows, but trust me they don’t help. That is the only room with windows to the street, so I would book any room except the junior suite. I hope you are lucky enough to have Terry serving you breakfast in the morning. She is the sweetest person I've met and such a wonderful addition to the hotel. Currently there are only 2 lounge chairs available to use at the lower pool, but I was told they would be getting new lounge chairs for the upper plunge pool. That will be a definite improvement. I would stay here again, but would make sure to select a different room, especially if it was a disco night.

Stayed twice in a week, both times for 1 night and in different rooms. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable, and each was very unique in layout. The rooms had safes, coffee makers, refrigerators stocked with water bottles, shampoo and shower gel, cable tv and good air conditioning, the showers had good pressure and hot water. Breakfast and dinner were included in the rate I booked. The breakfast is in the hotel's garden and there are options for traditional or local dishes. I opted for the local plates and they were delicious. Dinner is served at the restaurant next door to the hotel and includes an appetizer, main course and beverage. The menu had a good variety of options, the portion was decent and the flavor was great. The hotel staff were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Parking: There is free self parking in the Burger King parking lot, which is a right turn into an opening in the building just before the door to the hotel. Don't park in the parking lot on the left, it's restricted to 4-hours. Take a picture of your tag so you can give it to the hotel. This is the perfect place to stay between Merida and Cancun while visiting the Mayan ruins.

We stayed at Casa Tia Micha for three nights and really enjoyed our visit! The property is beautiful with lots of character and the staff were incredible and willing to help with everything we needed. Would highly recommend. The included breakfast and dinner were delicious. On nights where we ventured out to other restaurants for dinner they allowed us a drink instead which was very nice.
