타프로반 파빌리온 웨이브스 우나와투나(Thaproban Pavilion Waves Unawatuna)

Room 226 (King Wave Room) This hotel looks fancy and the rooms look very tasteful in photos. So we were a bit taken aback when we saw how worn the room was. The colours are still nice – just very worn. Some of the furnishings were simply too worn to be acceptable. The minibar/fridge literally fell apart when we opened it. We pointed this out and got a replacement fridge the next day which was also worn, albeit a little bit better. The bathroom door locked itself from the inside because it touched against the shower wall so we had to keep the bathroom door open to stop it from happening. The room itself was spacious and the balcony super. We were very lucky with the location of the room – on the second floor and directly overlooking the pool and sea. So this was a very big plus. The staff were all very friendly – another big plus. The location in Unawatuna is a bit removed from the worst hustle and bustle and thus a bit quieter. The hotel put on loud outdoor music one of the evenings and we felt like complaining as we wanted to go to bed around 10 PM (for an early start the next morning), but they did stop the music at 10:30 – I suppose that's OK for most people but not everyone likes the loud boom-boom but prefers peace and quiet. On the whole, we had an OK experience – we enjoyed the balcony and the views and the friendly staff. But the room and furnishings were unfortunately too worn for more than a 3-star rating.

We spent three days at the end of December 2023 in this hotel in Galle. The location is stunning and the room was very comfortable. The kitchen was excellent and the pools were great. All the staff were kind, caring, and helpful. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and other amenities nearby. We highly recommend it !!! :))

The rooms are quite clean, staff so polite and helpful, the meals on breakfast fresh and delicious. It’s a definitely good hotel. But: -Check in must be 14:00 but we only checked in at 15:30 (The room wasn’t ready). -Someone stole our money from the wallet in the room while we were on the other side of the island (but we didn’t use a safe in the room) Use the safe or take your money with you and trip will be beautiful and will have no problem.

Fantastic hotel, staff are super nice. Beautiful clean rooms and amazing views! Would highly recommend for a few days. Special shout to Prasad for looking after us. Only a short walk to all the shops and restaurants and located in a secure on of street location

My husband and I stayed at the Thaproban Pavilion Waves from March 29 to April 5, 2024. Room 201: large, with a balcony and views of the pool and ocean. One of the advantages of the Thaproban Pavilion Waves is its staff. They are wonderful, sincere and sociable people. We had a wonderful time in Unawatuna and Thaproban. Hotel service is excellent, they are always ready to help. Free transfer to the beach that is 5-min from the hotel. Reach choice of food at breakfast even for those who are not fan of local cuisine. Sunset is brilliant from the hotel😀 Pools are suitable for children.

This is our fourth visit to Unawatuna, a super cozy town. The owner has 3 boutique hotels, we have tried all three, this is our second time at Pavilion Waves which is the newest and I highly recommend the hotel. Great staff, good food, good service, free trasport to the beach where the sister hotel, Beach House, is located. Nice pool, beautiful terraces from which you can see the most beautiful sunset, very child-friendly and reasonable prices. Everything was as expected and we will definitely come again.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel, thanks to the staff, the facilities, and an amazing room (wave suite) with a killer view on the ocean. Great breakfast buffet, dinner options. Two great swimming pools, a bar on the rooftop, many leisure options around the hotel in Unawatuna.
