"The youth hostel is on the main street close to the ferry terminal in Ullapool. There is a kitchen/lounge downstairs and female and male bathrooms (one of each) upstairs. I found the hostels chilly during my stay, no heating was on. Sadly the single rooms are more expensive than local b & b's/guest houses. £25 for a shared room, £5.95 for a 'wee breakfast' of cereal, toast, fruit and hot/cold drinks"

"The guesthouse in the seaside town had rooms on the second floor with parking available. The rooms were clean and cozy, with beautiful views of the hillside from the back window and the garden from the front. There was a seafood stall nearby with very fresh salmon and prawns, but unfortunately, we arrived late, close to 8 pm when they were closing."

"Be aware! I could forgive the misleading website if we had received a warm welcome. The proprietor has made a very sensible decision in selling up and exiting the hospitality industry. Ice cold hospitality, out of date food, dated with need of updating. Book at your own peril."
