오스텔로 델 카스텔로 티라노(Ostello del Castello Tirano)

I would travel back to Tirano just to stay here again. We loved it. Highly recommend it to anyone. This was the highlight of our trip from Zurich to Tirano. It exceptionally clean and comfortable. The Host was the best we've ever encountered on our travels. It was like seeing an old friend. Please book this location you will not regret it.

Wonderful, comfortable, peaceful hostel full of charm and character. We wished we'd booked for more than one night. Great view from the rooftop garden. Lovely balcony to sit out on and relax. Amazing breakfast and a really friendly host. Oh and there was a small outdoor games area which included a basketball hoop that we enjoyed playing.

I visited Tirano with friends and we got well surprised by that hotel. The owner, Andrea, is a very welcoming person and the hotel is the most cute place ever! I got really emotional when I learned that the building is more than 700 years old! And it was in the owner's family. The renovations made were adequate and the hotel is comfortable, beautiful, extremely well located (near the train station) and with a delicious breakfast containing something called cappuchone (a bigger cappucino). I loved it!

Wonderful place, full of character, an absolute gem. Beautiful views and balcony an added extra. Close to Old Town, and walking distance to vineyards. Andreas, the owner, was friendly, and very helpful. Breakfast was superb. Would stay again, only longer.

Very welcoming and cozy; staff took a personal interest in our stay and our conveniences.

We were two Norwegian couples on an interrail tour in Switzerland and Italy. After a fairly short walk from the train station we found the Ostello located in beautifully renovated old buildings. The owner Andrea met us with a warm welcome and lots of useful information before showing us around both indoors and outdoors. The rooms are charming, with nice colours and an atmosphere from centuries ago combined with the comfort of today. The views of Tirano and the mountains are fascinating. The breakfast next morning was spectacular - for example were the yoghurts and the croissants the best I have ever had. Before leaving we also had the pleasure of meeting with the other owner - Andrea´s mother - a youthful woman with an impressive skiing carriere of great inerest to a skier in our little group.

AMAZING! Can’t say enough about this little gem. Arrived late at night, in the rain and being lost and weary, my 23 year old son and I were THRILLED when we met Andrea (who met us outside to ensure we found our way). The inn could not be more charming, modern amenities with old world charm, completely remodeled in 200 year old farm house. Family run. Andrea gave us the BEST advice for our Bernini train adventure to St Moritz. Can’t say enough! We will be back for sure and will recommend this to everyone!

What a wonderful place. We loved this accommodation and in part wished we had arrived a little earlier and had been able to stay a little longer but we were booked on the early morning Bernina Express. Andrea the host was attentive and kind and provided fabulous advice on places to dine. A 10 minute walk from the station in close proximity to the Old Town, supermarkets and restaurants made for a very convenient stay. Would definitely recommend.

We arrived for our stay at Ostello with a minor ailment that put a crimp in our mobility. Andrea immediately made us feel cared for, offered cold packs and access to keeping them cold. Between his care, his dinner suggestions, and his lovely hotel, we had a lovely couple of days in Tirano. Very high on our list of trip ideas is to return to Ostello, this time to explore the beautiful area (and it is beautiful!).
