"Bhutan has been on our bucket list for a very long time and at long last we could make it with a group of very close friends. We reached Thimphu from Phuentsholing by road, which was quite a long drive and at times bumpy. The hotel reception was pretty jammed with a lot of people but we were ushered to the sofas and chairs in the lobby where we completed all check-in formalities. Front Office staff were all very courteous. The room was functional but very clean and fairly modern. Dinner at the hotel was a part of our tour package, therefore, we could taste and relish various local and Indian delicacies over our two nights stay. The location is absolutely central and as a result we could take a walk in the evening for shopping around the area after our days city sightseeing. All in all, it was a highly enjoyable experience! "

"The Druk Hotel was conveniently located in the center of Thimpu. We were pleasantly surprised with our room although we shouldn't have been because it was exactly as pictured on the web site. The room was large, well appointed and clean. We were concerned about noise because we were warned that some people find it loud. We did not! We were in room 125 very near the lobby and staircase and across the street from the stadium, but we had a restful sleep...on a very comfortable mattress! The best surprise was the breakfast and dinner. So many choices and so delicious! I am vegetarian and there were so many great options for me too. Don't hesitate to book a room a Druk Hotel"

The location is very good in center of main Thimphu city and walkable to most shopping and restaurants and sights. The outdoor patio dining area is nice on a sunny morning or evenings. I tried the dosa and a local dish of beans and cheese dish which were both delicious. I would definitely recommend visiting!"

"Our trip to Bhutan was fantastic thanks to the friendly staff at Le Meridian Thimphu. The service was excellent and the rooms very well appointed and each day we were greeted by the friendly staff. Special mention to the restaurant staff Demi Yangden and Mon Maya for their helpful suggestions for authentic Bhutan food and their friendly smiles each time we were at the restaurant. They really made us feel at home! On arrival in Thimphu we had some issues with the local ATM, it took our Visa card and did not give us our cash. We were in a panic and really stressed out. The receptionist at Le Meridian, Ms Singay Dema came to our rescue. She contacted the bank and came in the next day ( on her time off) to help us get our Visa card from the ATM and some Bhutan money. This was exceptional service from a hotel employee. We travel extensively and Ms Dema is one of the most dedicated employees we have ever met. Once again we are very indebted to her for helping us through our emergency. We hope to return to Bhutan some day and stay at Le Meridian and will strongly recommend that our friends stay at your hotel to enjoy the kindness and professionalism that we received on our trip. "Absolutely beautiful property in Thimpu away from all the crowd and with beautiful views. Closer to the highway as well. This was first day in Bhutan and we stayed at this place for two nights. The service was outstanding and they took care of us very well catering to all our needs. Food was delicious and made specially for us as those two days we were the only guests in the hotel. We also got an upgrade of room and what more can you ask for. Thanks to all the staff at Ramada for making our stay a pleasant and memorable one"
