Stayed in September 2023 for a week with friends last month, yes the hotel is not the easiest to get too on foot, however the hotel is a really great place to stay. The service and the choices of food were superb in the restaurant and we had the all inclusive option. I would certainly recommend it as well and the facilities were of a very very high standard, the place is very clean and friendly. The service that we received from all of the staff was fantastic. We stayed in room 3424 and had a great view of the sea.

If you are looking for a nice place with owesome views, it's undoubtedly for you. The panoramic elevetor which connects all buildings is one of the main attraction. The neighbourhood of Taormina, Isola Bella or Giardini Naxos make the place even more interesting. All rooms are very tidy and were cleaned every day. On first day in the room were waiting for us sweets in the room. The building consist of two parts with rooms - Olimpo and Antares, which is more modern. Each building has a separate restaurant with 'fully-equipped" bar. ;) On the evenings there was a live music in the bar, or outside. But the whole complexion is really big and you have to be carefull no to get lost in it. The food was exellent with a lot of pasta, frutti di mare, fish etc. The breakfasts were a little bit boring. All stuff was charming and hellpfull, especially one young barman with a charming voice. I this year I was there two times and I really reccomend the place for those who want to take a breath and enjoy the time in Sicily.

Stayed here for 6 nights with a group of over 70s, as a coach/air trip from UK. This hotel is situated on the side of a mountain, and access from street level on foot is via a tunnel under a motorway, then a lift, then a walk across another terrace, then up a funicular, to reception level. On arrival we were delayed by an unexpected daily charge for using the pools and access to drinks including water at the bars and restaurant. Our UK guide was also unaware of this in advance. We really had no choice but to pay up and were fitted with a wristband. Our room (upgraded by us to panorama in advance) was large, spacious, clean and well appointed. The view was spectacular. However, it overlooked a terrace where music played each evening until late. Food was very good, all buffet style help yourself. Pool on level 4 was lovely, very busy and noisy with loud music. Some activities offered but we didn’t participate. Another pool further down but didn’t use that one. Lots of sun beds around the pools and terraces. This hotel is very noisy, lots of young children staying with echoes of their cries and shouts all around. Reception area especially noisy. In summary this hotel is more suited to younger guests. No porterage offered by the hotel when we left for a 5 am pick up for our flight home.

Hotel has a late night DJ outside the room windows every night until midnight. Rooms are not soundproofed and you end up listening to blasting club music and people screaming whether you want to participate or not.

The hotel is very dated. The staff were rude and lazy. The lifts took ages - particularly frustrating as we needed to move between the 2 hotels multiple times each day. The food was ok - sometimes lovely, other times not very good. Although there was always something in the buffet that was tasty.

We looked into this hotel when planning our trip. I was not sure the all inclusive would be for us as I knew we would be out for most lunches and dinners. Though we were out & about, we have no regrets. The kids made good use of the snack bar and I made good use of the beer taps! The pros: the pools - both are great the views - spectacular the proximity - close to the beach and bus stops to Taormina the staff - helpful and patient the room - spacious and clean The cons: the WiFi - constantly dropped connectivity the A/C - our kids stayed in a side bunk room that remained a bit warm the lifts - small and warm in the heat the smoking - everyone seems to smoke

Hotel Antares is a beautiful hotel with breathtaking views! Air con in the room with a balcony overlooking the beach/pool. The pool area is lovely with a self service bar where you can have drinks including slushies and snacks including ice cream and pastries, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. It’s also really easy to get to from the beach/seafront ***** via the tunnel with the lift. Breakfast was amazing with the tastiest scrambled eggs I’ve ever had and a good selection of juices and different food, and a wide selection of other foods including yoghurt, meats, cheese, fruits, cereals , and pastries as well as hot food like bacon and sausages. The dinner buffet was a little samey but a good enough selection. I’d recommend that the outdoor pool stay open for longer as it closes at 18:30 and I’d like to be able to swim/lounge for longer. I feel like a lot of people complain about this as the pool area is a lovely place to relax and have a swim
