This cozy cabin in the woods is newly renovated with all new flooring and paint and is great for a quick getaway or family retreat. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and 2 twins (bunk). The third bedroom has 3 twins and a full size bed (2 bunks). Our den has a double size pull out couch and our living room has 1 queen size fold out couch with an air mattress for comfort. The kitchen is modern, fully stocked with gadgets to match all your cooking needs, including a toaster, blender, full stove/oven, and microwave. In the summer, enjoy central air conditioning/heat (new) the deck and BBQ.For in-home entertainment, we have a Foosball game, ping pong table, 2 flat screen TV's, a DVD player, WIFI, and lots of board games. It is only 1.3 miles to White Pines Lake and Arnold Rim Trails. 6mins drive takes you to Big Tree State Park, 15mins to Murphy for wine tasting and fine meals, around 28 miles to Lake Alpine and Bear Valley Ski Resort. Adventure into Stanislaus National Forest conveniently or simply lounge in the deck couch breathing fresh air and enjoy your time.The spaceThe cozy Lilac Cabin has three levels with a deck surrounded by trees. The front entrance opens into the living room, with access to the kitchen and a full bathroom. There is a sofa couch with a queen-sized pullout bed and two expandable tables on the same level. Upstairs is a loft suite with a king bed, a desk, and a full bathroom. If you have a baby, there is a pack & play crib with crib bedding provided in the main level closet. Two additional bedrooms with trundle beds and queen beds respectively as well as another full bathroom are located on the lowest level separated from the living room by a door, hallway, and a stairwell, which provides great privacy if more than one family is sharing the cabin. There is a second workstation and an electronic keyboard in the hallway. The cabin has an in-house, full-sized washer and dryer for your use. We make sure all our beds are comfortable with high quality new memory foam mattresses, new cotton sheets with high thread counts, and new duvets & pillows. All bathrooms are fully stocked with new soft towels. There is high speed internet throughout the cabin, a Roku Smart TV with free Netflix, a smart speaker with Alexa, and smart controls for heaters and the propane fireplace.Guest accessOur cabin is on a hill with a ramp and stairs to access the deck and the entry door. It is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties or serious health conditions. During the snow season, the public roads are plowed. Once entering the private property, plow service is only active when there is snow over 4 inches. If you come in the winter, please have the necessary accessories ready for snow and ice including chains, snow boots, and relevant clothing. Be very careful when walking on the ramps and stairs in the winter as they can be slippery.We strongly recommend that you print or download the address and the access code of the smart lock before heading here, as AT&T has very little cell phone coverage in Arnold. Verizon has a decent signal in Arnold. In Bear Valley, it is the opposite. AT&T generally has signal near the main lodge in Bear Valley, but Verizon has little coverage. Our cabin has high-speed internet and Wi-Fi that covers the whole house and close surrounding area.Other things to noteThe natural ecology is well maintained here. The environment is far away from dense populations, which means that wildlife is spotted in the area occasionally such as bears, cougars, raccoons, bobcats, coyotes, skunks, and deer. Please do not leave young kids outside unattended and avoid walking in woods without taking precautions. Please do not approach any wild animals if you see any. To avoid attracting wild animals to our property, we do not have a garbage bin outside. To minimize bear damage, please do not litter anywhere outside and ensure that you don't leave food or fragrant items in your car. The home backs up to the national forest so you have complete privacy. The back deck is over 1,200 sq. ft and includes a gazebo, multiple sitting & lounging areas, hot tub, fire pit in the winter, & heat lamps. The house has a whole house generator, dual zone AC, radiant heat, and wifi. The Arnold rim trail is right outside your door for endless fun!Rest your head in one of the 4 newly furnished bedrooms. Bedroom 1: Master - 1 king bed with en suite bathroom, Bedroom 2: king bed, Bedroom 3: king bed, Bedroom 4: trundle bed (2 twins) and crib. This spacious house features two living areas, one on each floor. The upstairs living area includes kitchenette with a coffee maker, microwave, toaster and bar sized fridge. For those who need to do a little work on vacation, there is a fully-functional office desk (monitor, keypad, mouse and printer) with the highest speed internet provided for Arnold. Explore the variety of boardgames or sit-back and watch TV on one of the 3 TVs in the home, all of which have Apple TV and Sonos system throughout the entire house!For those who love to cook, this kitchen is for you! The fully stocked gourmet kitchen features GE and Bosch stainless steel appliances and a 6 burner cooktop. Appliances include toaster oven, microwave, wine preserver and a Keurig coffee maker.There are multiple seating options when it comes to mealtime including seating for 3 at the peninsula island, 6 at the nook, up to 8 guests at the formal dining room and a screened outdoor gazebo that can seat 6. Relax outside and enjoy the unobstructed view of the national forest on the spacious 1,200 sq. ft back deck which includes multiple seating areas, a hot tub that seats 6 adults comfortably, a Weber grill and heat lamps for those cool evenings.Linens and towels are provided.Guests will have access to the entire house. If you have AT&T you will not have service until you connect to WiFi. Be sure to put directions to the cabin in your phone and save any important details prior to getting in the mountains. If you have Verizon you will be fine. There is so much to do in and around Arnold, including wine tasting/tours in nearby Murphys, a visit to Calaveras Big Trees State Park or take a 17-mile hike in the wooded trail of Arnold Rim Trail. Visit multiple lakes including White Pines Lakes, New Melones Lake and Lake Alpine. Go skiing or snowboarding at Bear Valley Resort. Get adventures and go White Water Adventure at North Fork Stanislaus River!Take a trip to Blue Lake Springs as our guest to utilize their facilities which includes 2 private lakes, tennis, basketball, horseshoes, Olympic size swimming pool, snack shack, full service restaurant, shuffle board, ping pong, sand volleyball, BBQ and Picnic areas, sandy beaches, golf course and more. Fees are $15 daily/$90 weekly for individual or $75 daily/$300 weekly for a group up to 6 people.
