There is also an east facing balcony with two chairs, perfect to watch the morning sunrise. Air conditioning and heat provided is by an in-wall mini-split style unit. The property is right on the Cape Fear river with a resort beach, pool and patio all waterfront. It is located one half-mile to downtown, so it is a great location if you want to walk to dinner and the amazing shops and not worry about parking.All guests will have access to the entire condominium property including beach, pool, patio and elevators. The association also puts on regularly scheduled events and guests are welcome to attend all events on the property.Every Thursday night from late spring to early fall there are food trucks and live music scheduled on the condo patio by the pool and beach!Please also note, while the property does have a beach, the beach is actually off of the Cape Fear River, not the Atlantic Ocean. You are welcome to swim in the water, just be mindful it can be quite rocky at times and won't be your typical ocean/beach experience. Also, there is a “beware of alligator” sign on the beach. This was put there by the condo association as a precaution as there have been alligators spotted on the beaches in Southport previously. As with any NC beach, alligators are always possible in the area but we have never seen any ourselves during any of our previous visits nor have any of our guests ever let us know about any encounters.Lastly, please be mindful that our HOA is very strict about no smoking (including vaping and e-cigarettes) within the condos or on the balcony of each condo. There are designated areas for smoking down stairs in the parking areas and by the pool/patio. Welcome to the beautiful, quaint southern town of Southport, NC. This one floor house is spacious with new furnishings and hardwood floors throughout. Your stay at this house will include 3 spacious bedrooms, large living room, remodeled kitchen with a nice dining area, large, screened porch, laundry room and 2 full bathrooms. One of the bathrooms has been recently remodeled with double sinks, an oversize shower and a jacuzzi tub. The master bedroom has a king bed, walk-in closet, and full bathroom. The other 2 bedrooms each have a queen size bed. All bedrooms have their own Smart TV. The living room has a 50" Smart TV with comfortable seating. Enjoy eating outside on the screened porch that includes a dining table for 6 plus additional seating, and a gas grill just off the outside door. Books, games, & cards are available for both children & adults. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, blender, filtered water, electric teapot, and coffee maker (single serve & 12 cup pot). Enjoy your morning coffee or favorite beverage while seated in the rockers on the front porch. There is also a large laundry room with stackable washer and dryer. Beach chairs, cooler and umbrella are available for guests for your days at the beach. Tennis courts and a playground for children is just 1/2 mile at the end of the street. As you pull up to the home you will see our red, white, and blue home that was the inspiration for the name! There is a gravel drive to the right where you can park. You will then enter through the red door on the HUGE front porch!As you enter the home, you will see that it has an open layout that is great for hosting your crew. Easy to entertain and stay connected through the stay. On your right will be the living area where there is a giant sectional for your movie nights or naps after the beach! The home has a Smart TV for all your viewing needs. This living space is open to the dining area that has a large table for your meals or game nights! On the other side of the dining area is a bar which is part of the fully loaded kitchen! This kitchen is ready to roll for you and has tons of space for all your cooking needs.To the left of the home you will find the bedrooms. The first bedroom has two beds in it. A queen bed, a twin bed, and trundle underneath are all there with full linens. This room has a Smart TV so you can escape for a bit or have a place for the kids to watch a movie! The Primary bedroom is closer to the back of the home where there is a queen bed and an en suite. This room and bathroom are very spacious. Enjoy an amazing CLAWFOOT bathtub and walk in shower on your relaxing evenings in this luxury retreat!In the back of the home, you have access to a modern full bath and laundry room! There you will also find some beach essentials like a chair, cooler and more.Outback we have a FULLY fenced backyard with a firepit, seating, and a table. Can accommodate up to 6 cars or 4 cars and fishing boat and trailer. You can sit on the front porch swing or rocking chairs and listen to bands on Thursday night when playing in Franklin Square Park. The cottage will accommodate 5 people. Master queen bedroom downstairs with full bath. Upstairs has queen bed and also a twin bed with trundle with full bath.
