Skiathos Holidays Suites & Villas

This is the second time my husband and I have been to this resort and it’s still an absolute winner. I was reluctant to review this place as its gem and I wanted to keep it all for myself. From arrival you get taken in a buggy up to your room and bags follow shortly afterwards. Everybody is super helpful. Breakfast is plentiful and served until 11 o’clock which is very civilised. The rooms are amazing. We had a junior suite and it was everything we needed as a couple. With just a quick trott you’re on the most beautiful bit of beach, you can order food and drinks to your sun-bed. We are already planning next year’s visit! The only change from last year is the sun-bed charge, which were free and are now €10 for residents and €15/€20 if you’re not but the beach is so worth it. WiFi was sketchy for some reason on the last few days and not very powerful as husband was working, it was a slight issue.

A last-minute decision to book this hotel paid off. I booked without really looking into the location or past reviews but I got very lucky! Despite the lovely grounds, proximity to one of the best beaches on the island and clean, airy, contemporary accommodation the biggest positive for me was the exceptional service - from the friendly bar staff to pretty much personal concierge from Christos. Nothing is too much trouble for the team - every morning I was offered traditional English breakfast items although the buffet was delicious and plentiful, I was given detailed instructions for how to get around and where to eat and lent practical things such as sun shades and insect spray. It is obviously a great place for families during the Summer but I would definitely recommend to singles, couples and friends during the shoulder months. I didn't drive and without particularly trying visited nine beaches in four days - many are in walking distance and the bus takes you to the others as well as Skiathos Town in around 10minutes. Also as a solo guest, I was made to feel very welcome and included. I was the first guest of the season and I'm sure I'll be back!

Mi opinión es sobre el bar y no sobre el hotel, ya que no estuve alojado y desconozco la calidad del mismo, aunque he visto que a pesar de que el gobierno griego lo califica como un 3 estrellas se exhiben en booking como un 4 estrellas con precios como 300€ la noche en temporada alta…pedí consumiciones dos veces: un gin sprite y una copa de prosecco la primera vez y lo mismo más un helado la segunda. Me cobraron 16€ por la primera y 31€ por la segunda, por qué? No lo tengo muy claro. La copa de prosecco (servida en vaso de plástico y con hielo) tenía sólo dos dedos y cuando le pedí a la camarera que lo rellenara hasta arriba me dijo que entonces me cargaría el doble, lo cual me pareció bastante patético pero le dije que ok. Cuando me dijeron el precio les pedí que me explicaran cómo era posible la diferencia de precio con respecto a mi primer pedido y me dijeron que es que ahora me podía llevar el Sprite (?). Mi gin-sprite valió 9€ la primera vez y 13€ la segunda. Pagué y volví al jardín donde mi bebé dormía agotado con su madre después de haber sufrido una caída fortuita en el parque infantil propiedad del local (ante la cual sobra decir que el personal del bar no se interesaron en absoluto por su estado) cuando la camarera que me había atendido se acercó a nosotros hablando en tono alto diciendo que a las 18:30 había una fiesta privada y todos los no invitados deberían irse (eran las 17:40, faltaban casi una hora para la supuesta fiesta) con aire cínico y prepotente. Espero que nadie se moleste en consumir absolutamente nada a estos impresentables y sinvergüenzas.

Wir waren zum 2. Mal in diesem Hotel und es war wie „zuhause ankommen“. Wir wurden gleich wiedererkannt und herzlich begrüßt. Das Personal ist noch das gleiche wie vor zwei Jahren, das spricht absolut für das Personalmanagement in diesem Haus. Die relaxte, familiäre Atmosphäre hat wieder mal dazu beigetragen, dass wir uns sehr gut erholt und wohl gefühlt haben. Das Highlight ist das mit Liebe zubereitete Frühstück auf der Terrasse. Die Qualität ist top und jeden Tag gibt es andere griechische Spezialitäten, selbstverständlich alles selbstgemacht. Ruhige Lounge Musik im Hintergrund. Genuss pur. Ach ja, noch kurz am Rande: als wir vor 2 Jahren dort waren wurde unser Rückflug wegen schlechten Wetters um einen Tag nach hinten verschoben. Alle Mitreisenden mussten in einem Hotel übernachten, welches nicht weit vom Skiathos Holidays and Suites entfernt war. Cristos hat das mitbekommen und uns herzlich eingeladen am kommenden Tag bei ihm im Hotel (umsonst) zu frühstücken. Das war ein Segen, denn in dem Hotel, in welchem wir die letzte Nacht verbringen mussten, war das Frühstück eine Katastrophe. Trockenes Toast und abgepackte Marmelade…. Wir haben das Angebot von Cristos dankend angenommen. Das nenne ich Gastfreundschaft! Ich kann dieses Hotel zu 100% empfehlen.

Ottima sistemazione sotto tutti gli aspetti! Camera con ogni tipo di comfort, arredata benissimo e con letto molto comodo e grande, lenzuola e salviette sempre pulite e profumate, a noi sono state cambiate tutti i giorni. Atmosfera di relax totale, che si può godere sia durante la colazione, servita nel giardino con cura e con prodotti di qualità, sia nella spiaggia, curata e attrezzata con un mare stupendo. Personale gentile e disponibile, sempre presente anche per un servizio bar. La posizione è perfetta per girare anche l’isola con pullman o i propri mezzi. Consigliato al 100%!

Bel hotel calme, tres bien entretenu avec des prestations de qualité. La plage est toute proche et très sympathique. Le personnel est aux petits soins et l’accueil delicat. En plus le petit déjeuner est très bien avec des produits artisanaux. A réserver sans hésiter
