Mirbeau Inn in Skaneatlas is the original of this boutique chain and still the gem in their crown. We have stayed there many times and in retirement, have made it a ritual to take a mid-winter break there to celebrate our birthdays and spoil ourselves that one time each year. We have never and may I repeat, NEVER, been disappointed. Mirbeau is the model for customer service whether you are talking about the hotel, the spa, or the restaurant. Right from check-in with the desk manager, Kayla, and her assistant, Amethyst, we were made to feel special. Our hostesses in the restaurant, Skye and Angelique, accommodated every request, including making sure we sat at our favorite table for each meal. The bartender, Ed, who has been at Mirbeau forever, never forgets a face and provides outstanding recommendations for wines and pairing choices. My wife's spa treatment by Jen was absolutely spectacular. And the extras like the very well-equipped fitness center and wonderful indoor stream-like open air hot tub are the icing on the cake. We had a perfect stay during a very snowy 2 days in Central NY. Couldn't think of a better place to be snowed in for sure. We recommend Mirbeau Skaneatlas to anyone who wants a relaxing getaway,
