호텔 빌라 데 세테닐(Hotel Villa de Setenil)

We stopped for lunch on a very hot Saturday afternoon. The food was excellent and care taken over locally sourced ingredients beautifully cooked. My children are not adventurous in their food tastes, but were sold on the bread from the bakery across the road and devoured the steak and chips. Husband had the lamb which fell off the bone and I had a very nice fried chicken and goats cheese salad. There was lots more on the menu that looked worthy and the desserts were delicious. The English speaking waiter was very friendly and clearly cared about the food and wine he recommended. Came to a €120 which seems very reasonable for such a high quality meal.

Very efficient and friendly staff (receptionist doubled as plumber when cistern stuck!) Clean and roomy accommodation Bathroom basin was the only criticism as you couldn’t fill it. Good restaurant - we had breakfast and dinner there Highly recommended

This hotel was modern and clean. The restaurant had the best food we’ve had so far in Spain, and we’ve had some amazing meals. Alejandro brother is the chef!! Alejandro even tried to find us on our walk to give us a small personal guided tour of their beautiful city. David makes you feel at home.

Excellent service. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was amazing! Great value for money. Beautiful, picturesque town. Will Definitely be visiting again.

The hotel is under staff and run by a bunch of rookies with no customer mindset, examples room air conditioner temperature is controlled by the administration, and the room was extremely hot, but no one was available at 10:00 pm to respond, and the front desk is always empty, housekeeping is done even without your permission, Hot water takes ages for shower, only one hair dryer in the hotel and is at the front desk, no service on Mondays, only one person with no idea on how to handle visitors, to give an idea, at breakfast he said that was limited only to bread and butter because he don't know how to fry an egg, and the coffee was the worst one ever, I am highly disappointed and never recommend this place to even an enemy of mine. One last thing, no parking at the location, no parking service, only one taxi in the town, and it cost me 16 euros round trip to pick up two burgers on MOnday night, a 1.5 km ride

Boa localização. Recepção demorada, tivemos de ligar. Pouca simpatia. Parece um hotel vazio. Pouco confortável. Pequeno almoço e quartos muito modestos. Duche molha toda a casa de banho.

Das Hotel liegt mitten in Setenil, in bester Lage also. Von der Terrasse (mit Zimmeranschluss) aus hat man einen tollen Blick über einige der Felsenwohnungen und die Landschaft. Das Zimmer war geräumig, bot aber nur recht begrenzte Ausstattung (keinen Safe, keinen Kühlschrank). Das Bett war aber sehr bequem und es war ruhig. Das hoteleigene Restaurant "Mirador" bietet sehr gutes Essen, das Frühstück war gut. Wir hatten das rollstuhlgerechte Zimmer mit Dusche - bei der war aber der Spritzschutz unzureichend, der Boden war nach dem Duschen überflutet. Dafür musste man die Handtücher opfern, die nicht ersetzt wurden. Normalerweise finde ich das gut - hier war es aber suboptimal... Die Rezeption war selten besetzt und wir mussten ziemlich lange dort ausharren, bis man uns endlich einchecken ließ. Achtung bei der Anfahrt: Unser Navi kannte die Straße zum Parkhaus nicht (GoogleMaps zum Glück aber schon!), führte uns völlig unnötig durch die verwinkelte Altstadt, in die wir eigentlich gar nicht gedurft hätten. Es gibt Kurzzeitparkplätze zum Ausladen vor dem Hotel, parken muss man dann aber im Parkhaus unterhalb des Hotels (nur 9 Euro pro Tag, also sehr human). Aber man sollte unbedingt dieses Parkhaus "Los Canos" eingeben!!!

Fuimos exclusivamente a comer, recomendado por nuestra arrendadora. La comida genial. Tiene una carta variada y original, con productos típicos de la zona. Muy recomendable el arroz con rabo de toro. Fuera de carta ofrecieron platos alternativos para los peques. Fue un detalle.
