"We drove all the way to Selma from North Florida to get out of range of Hurricane Helene. This hotel was a great choice. Decent price. Comfortable. Friendly, helpful staff. The place was spotless. I would definitely stay here again. But be warned - there is pretty much no good food in Selma!"

"Truly “Memorable” Stay I recently stayed at the American Inn in Selma, booked through Vio.com. Where do I start? The room was… let’s say quaint, in the sense that it was far from what I expected. The condition of the room was poor enough that ******* (through Vio) offered a “generous” 15% refund — which I politely declined. The location is along a busy road, so walking anywhere interesting is a challenge, and if you’re hoping for a cozy, safe, or quiet experience, let’s just say the ambiance keeps you on your toes. I’d suggest setting your expectations accordingly. Overall, it’s a stay you won’t forget… whether you want to or not. Consider this review my public service announcement: if you like adventure, or perhaps enjoy negotiating refunds for a small discount, this place is perfect for you."
