'I stayed in a ”city view” room during my solo trip through the Basque region and it was such a comfortable room I forgot about not having sea view. Though I do recommend to go to the cafe to have the beachside experience if you get the city view room because it overlooks a construction site on the back street. The hotel was an easy 15min walk with my heavy suitcase from the intercity bus center, just beside the beach. The room was squeaky clean with a large bathtub, and the bed so comfortable I could not get up to go see the sunset! Also helpful kind staff and great location for getting around the city on foot or by bus. I went to the Chillida Leku museum it was 30min by bus no25. Highly recommend!'

'**”BAD: Beware of the 'Upgrade'”** Our priority when booking was the room size and budget, so we reserved a 32m² City View room. At check-in, the hotel staff offered us an ”upgrade.” He said that for an additional €25 per day, we could ”upgrade,” so we agreed. However, while the room did have a Sea View, the size was downgraded to just 21m². I told them that paying €25 to have a smaller room was a downgrade, but they insisted that the view had been upgraded. I asked to be moved back to the room we originally booked, but the staff ignored my request for an entire day. Let me ask you this: if you went to see a new landscape, and the view changed, how would you describe it? You wouldn’t say the landscape itself was ”upgraded,” would you? You’d say the view was different or better. The following day, I finally got a response from the staff. They told me I’d need to pay an additional €70 per day if I wanted a 32m² Sea View room. While the hotel facilities and scenery are excellent, the staff are focused entirely on business and seem to aim to squeeze every extra euro from their guests. In the end, we ended up paying the €25. **Beware of the 'Upgrade.'”**'

'Tout était parfait. L’hôtel est un peu vieillissant et ne mérite peut-être pas 4 étoiles. Mais on sait bien qu’en Espagne les étoiles hôtelières sont un peu plus surévaluées qu’en France. Le seul Hic est qu’une chambre n’était pas prête quand nous sommes arrivés car notre demande de grand lit pour les 2 chambres n’avait pas été prise en compte. Mais rien de grave, notre demande a été satisfaite par la suite. Mais pour un 4 étoiles … Le cadre est idyllique…'
