Beautiful hotel with lovely service. Very helpful staff and the amenities were great. We enjoyed the free coffee in the morning and thought the rooms were a great size, very clean and smelled lovely too. About a 20 minute walk into the old town/ central which we didn’t mind. You don’t get given a key card but a pin for your room and the hotel main door so be sure to write it down!

A wonderful 2nd visit to this beautiful hotel. Immaculate hotel and wonderful service. Staff so friendly, helpful and have a genuine desire to serve. Rooms well appointed and tastefully decorated. Secure parking available, well spaced and marshalled to ensure your vehicle is safe while you relax in this excellent hotel. We love it!!!

It was fine, but did not live up to our expectations considering how expensive it was. The pool is lovely, but very small. Our room was also small. Staff were ok, location was good. Breakfast was not good value and should be included in the room rate IMO. It reminded me of a nicer hostel from my backpacking days.

Cutest little Hotel - set on the hill, walking distance to centre. Warm welcome, rooms and hotel appliances prestine and luxurious. Great pool. Good breakfast, drinks and snacks included around the clock. Great family suite, our kid loved it! Would stay there again!

The rooms are very large and well laid out. The shower is amazing. Going to have mine redone at home similar 15 minute walk to old town. The staff really go above and beyond

The location of Villa Eugenia is in the more peaceful neighbourhood of Gros, which is across the river from the Old Town of San Sebastian. However, there are plenty of good local restaurants and bars to choose from should you wish for options outside the touristy hub (if you are a carnivore, we can recommend Iraeta Taberna, where we had a great steak). We actually really appreciated the walks to/from the central areas, which can also be achieved via the pleasant Zurriola surf beach. What we liked - Appeared newly renovated property with fresh and uncluttered design. - Very friendly and pleasant staff. - Ample sized room for a couple of nights with high ceilings and access to large balcony area (room 102). - Excellent bathroom and large walk-in powerful shower. - Very comfortable bed and restful sleep. - Swimming pool for a refreshing dip. Not so great - Lots of marble / wood floors in corridors & stairwells means audible echoes / external noises into the room. - Free coffee available downstairs in lobby not the greatest quality. Would have preferred kettle / cafetiere in-room.

We stayed 7 nights at Villa Eugenia. It is a high quality hotel, the bedrooms are kept very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area is modern and a great environment to chill out. As we checked out at 6am to catch an early train, the hotel catering kindly made us a gorgeous take- away breakfast the evening before. That was a very nice gesture and much appreciated! This is a really outstanding hotel in a cool neighbourhood in San Sebastián. The decor and rooms are chic and pristine, the bathroom was lovely with great toiletries and the whole please has a really relaxed, boutique feeling to it. The immaculate standard of the space was matched by incredible service with Manuel in particular creating fabulous breakfasts every day (basque cheesecakes, home made tomato specialities etc) and being the nicest most helpful host. Another plus is the very spacious and convenient garage (we had a big car with cycle trailer). I imagine it’s 3 star because it is a low staff model but really in my considerable experience this out*****s most 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in, and the price was also very competitive. Faultless
