호텔 오세아니아 클레르몽 페랑

Soirée Saint Valentin. Arrivant à l'hôtel à 22h30 pour cause d'activité professionnelle nous n'avons pas pu diner au restaurant de l'hôtel qui était déjà fermé ... ce qui est bizarre pour cette date là. Nous avons cependant pu profiter du sauna le lendemain matin et ce dernier est très bien.

A very well-run hotel, but if you are driving there, please don't hope you can get a space in the hotel garage. Instead, park in the open-air car park across the way some 100 metres away. It saves a lot of hassle! We had a spacious room with a large ensuite shower room and a glorious view to hills beyond. Dinner and breakfast (not at the same time!) in the restaurant were nicely presented and tasted great. All in all very efficient and a good night's sleep as well.

Good for one or two nights. Bedrooms are small and no shelving for clothes, we had to live out of suitcases. The safe in the room was not fixed and could be lifted off its support!. The window could be opened wide and on the third floor as we were could be a hazard for young children. Our first meal was good but our group meals were very poor, most of the steak was sent back, tough, and the fish was tasteless.

I stayed at Oceania Hotel in Clermont Ferrand during a recent work trip. Overall stay was a pleasant experience. The rooms are small however cozy, comfortable and clean. Restaurant is stocked well with options. Front desk is courteous. Except for an issue I had during one of the check-ins (and payments), experience was largely positive. The biggest advantage is the connectivity. The hotel is less than 20mins drive from the airport, right in front on the tram-way, 5mins walking distance from Stade Nautique Pierre-de-Coubertin (swimming pool) and Jaude (city centre with access to plethora of shopping and food destinations). I would definitely prefer to stay here again.

This is the very best hotel in Clermont-Ferrand, France. The hotel staff is very helpful, and friendly. They speak your language. Everything in the hotel is very clean. The breakfasts are terrific. This hotel is close to everything, center city, buses, trams, taxis, train station. They will also guide you to many of the city's attractions.

Access to the underground car park is to the far left hand side of the hotel. There is an intercom through to reception. We just confirmed our reservation name and were immediately let into the car park. Access to the hotel is via a lift from the car park although there is a short flight of steps to negotiate before you reach the lift. Nice welcome from the young chap on reception. Easy check in and we were allocated a room on the 5th Floor. Luckily we had a mountain view room to the SW as the city view rooms to the N overlook a large construction site currently. Rooms are modern and nicely finished and very clean and fresh looking.There is a separate wc with hand rinse basin. Nice bathroom with large walk in shower, fluffy towels and the usual toiletries. Good water pressure to the shower and no waiting for hot water to come through. Nice large comfortable bed with clean crisp sheets. Small safety deposit box located in clothes hanging area. Did not use the breakfast or restaurant during our stay so cannot comment on these. Overall we found the hotel better than expected after reading some previous reviews. In fact we could not fault anything during our stay. All the staff we came across were friendly and welcoming and the hotel itself was great value. Location was great being only a 5-10 minute walk into the old town and with the secure parking being below the hotel it was perfect.
